Horrible. A shoddy efficiency apartment turned into an extended stay hotel. Dirty, unprofessionally run and a total rip off. Climate controlled means no A/C and floor heat. Not anything as advertised. Our unit was obviously WELL lived in. Eastern European run and staff means third world accomodations in a world class city.

Booked a two bedroom apartment for a weekend in December with 3 friends. Was really impressed with the apartment –was clean with large living room and 2 large en-suite bathrooms. Everything worked and beds were comfortable. They are in a very good location, with lots of restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk, however Think have made no attempt to make it easy for you to find the apartments — there is a list of businesses displayed on the gate at Maltings Place, but the apartments are not listed. Check in was easy but we had to return to the reception area as our apartment did not have a microwave or a kettle. We eventually got the kettle on Saturday evening, but the promised microwave was never delivered. It also states on their website that they offer complementary toiletries, so my friends from Ireland did not pack any shampoo, only to find out they do not actually provide this. The actual apartments are great, but don’t expect anything much from the people on reception.

Planning a hen party is something of an arduous task — especially when it must be in London and it must cater for the quite unique whims, wishes and budgets of ten girls you haven’t actually met before. First task — get a holding pen for them for the weekend — assume everything from then on will fall into place. A friend of mine recommended getting an apartment rather than wading through the minefield of ‘budget hotels’ which claim to be in London(i.e. somewhere between here and one of our satellite airports). I found Think Apartments pretty quickly and came round to their way of thinking(groan) even faster. Three bedroom apartment for £200 a night? Fully furnished — proper living room and kitchen as well as three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There was enough space for all of us to laze and watch a film, eat dinner, chill out during the day… and it meant that we had a proper base and didn’t have to plan the weekend with military precision(and expense). The apartments themselves are beautiful conversions, some in an old vinegar factory(hence the name Maltings Place). We threw every challenge we could at Think — «we need another bed in this room. We need to change this booking. We need another towel. We need a kitchen with everything as I’m going to cook for ten people in here.» They sailed through every one. I’d massively recommend an apartment over a hotel for anyone coming to London. Such great value, and Think are in such a brilliant locations — this one is just down from Tower Bridge. I couldn’t have imagined a better holding pen for the gaggle of hens(is that right?) — and just as I’d imagined, once I’d found it, everything did fall into place. More or less. And then Gok Wan turned up!
