Really lovely local restaurant that serves delicious super fresh thai food at avery affordable price. Its a bring your own restaurant which is great and the staff are really nice & friendly. However on our last 2 visits(last night being most recent) the food service was very slow. There is no consistency on who gets their food first. Take away orders are in competition with customers in the restaurant. While waiting for our food we saw bags of food go out the doors for delivery. It took over 2 hours for our meal to be completed. For 3 of us we only ordered 2 starters and 3 main dishes to share, hardly a huge feast. I watched a party of 4 leave who had been there before us who didn’t get their food despite their patience, yet a couple next to use who arrived an hour after us got nearly all their food before we had finished I am sure this issue can be resolved but, I think, it will affect their reputation if its not sorted soon.

Amazing Thai restaurant, the most authentic I have found in London after being in Thailand. Amazing value, great atmosphere. I love it. I have been a customer of this establishment for at least 8 years and would recommend it highly.

I went to this Restaurant last Thursday and I am so happy I did. The food was«Extraordinaire». I love Thai and unfortunately for various reasons I haven’t been to a Thai restaurant for some time but Boy, this compensated for lost time! First they served Thai Chilli Rice Crackers(which were much more flavoursome than the usual Chinese ones) then we had a mixed platter for 2 as a starter plus 2 Pad Thai and a fried Tilapia. I always find something to say flavour wise regarding the food, but in this case the meal was spot on, service very friendly, everything was top notch. And to make things better there is a BYO policy and the delicious food was washed down with a nice bottle of Prosecco brought from home. One tiny criticism maybe was the waiting time and surrounding area outside, but who cares I come for food quality! If I want to please my visual senses, I would go to an Art Gallery! Notwithstanding that, the dish itself is a visual experience!

A lovely little restaurant in a rather grim part of town. Great food and friendly service. My only complaint is that they often don’t answer the phone! Weird way to run a business, I’d give them 5 stars if they didn’t keep forcing me to go and eat elsewhere!

This place came highly recommended and is regarded by many as one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. It’s a small, family run place; the staff are generally friendly and accomodating and the food is okay but not great. The food is relatively cheap but the downside is that it also tastes it. The vegetables have a tendency to be overcooked and the only flavouring they seem to use in any of the dishes seems to be either chilli or basil.

This place was such a let down. I had read a lot of good reviews and was looking forward to dining here. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I lived in South East Asia for a long time and know what Thai food is supposed to taste like. This place wasn’t anything spectacular. Very ordinary bland food, not the true Thai flavours you would expect. even for the price you would expect something better. The worse part of the night was the rice. It was starchy and overcooked. Any Thai place that can’t cook rice(!) properly deserves a hand downs. No excuses. Perhaps this place was good in the past, but it certainly isn’t anymore. What a shame. Do yourself a favour and save yourself the trip here. There are better Thai places down the road towards Kensal Green.

Pretty standard as far as thai goes. Good service. Great food. Very«hole in the wall». You get to bring your own alcohol. Very cheap. 5 or 6 pounds for some pad thai sounds good.

A friend of mine introduced me to this place even though its literally round the corner from my house. Wow! awesome thai food — especially the chefs speciality — boneless fish fillet in a spicy sauce — really takes me back to Thailand! Its byo and there is an offie almost next door and its hard to spend more than £10 per head!

Tong Ka Nom Thai on Harrow Road is something of a not so well kept secret in the area between Kensal Green and Willesden Junction. Entering this small restaurant on the Harrow Road, it’s almost as if you had stepped into an eccentric great aunts front room, as every available space is filled with oriental and kitsch ornaments and buddhas, the walls with scenes picked out in sequins and a portrait of the Thai King. The kitschness of this place isn’t contrived, its just a natural being. This place is in no way über cool, with wipe clean tablecloths and rag painted walls, their fridge wedged next to a table, and a fish tank with big goldfish eyeing you up, it is simply a cosy haven for food lovers. Because that’s what this place is about, good Thai food. It’s that alone that packs this place even on a Monday night, and leaves many disappointed at the door unable to get a seat without pre-booking. Their menu never changes and with such a fine selection of top quality food they don’t need to, because you’ll begin to crave their dishes on a regular basis. Start with chicken panden leaves; the meat has the most amazing flavour. If you are daring, go for the spicy papaya salad, it’s an acquired taste, but once you have it, you can’t get enough of the stuff. Similarly their green curry, which has to be the best in London — practically everything here is good so no matter what, you will be happy with your choice. And the place is cheap, dinner for two with starters and mains will only set you back about £20−25 and as it’s a b.y.o(helped by the fact there is a corner shop a few steps away open until 11pm) you’ll be quids in and will have had probably one of the best Thai meals outside of Thailand. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants good Thai food in an eclectic atmosphere(which includes their music selection — every time I have been its something different, from smashing pumpkins to classical, hardcore drum and bass to Elvis). The staff is friendly, and the place truly original. If you can, always ask for a table upstairs as if you are a couple downstairs it can feel a little neglected and you could end up sat next to the toilet door, although it would be great down there if there is a large party of you as you would have an almost private room.
