A great local tea shop that has some fresh food. I love the specials board every time I go. It’s great for a weekend lunch break without having to go into central London. The selection of teas are amazing too and the price is reasonable.

We booked a table in this place for 13 Freinds for an afternoon tea. The tea came in drips and drabs the food came 25 minutes after the tea. And when asked for cream tea the owner said that she can’t give out her scones because she’s saving them for the next party in the afternoon– so we couldn’t have our cream tea even though we booked 2 weeks in advanced for 13 people and made sure every person spent well over £7 each! She then kept on disturbing us to tell us when to leave and when one of us stood up to take a quick picture she ran across and said that we should get out of her way… I mean I’m so upset that we booked this place– never again! P. s don’t go with children.

I’ve been into this little tea shop many times. Whilst I love the décor, the tea cups, the sandwichesthe same can’t be said for the service. Not the young staff that sarahm27(who prob part owns it!) talks about(whom are lovely, but probably just fed up by now I should think).but the not very nice owner!(putting it politely!) She is sooo rude and sooo un-child friendly, literally ignoring customers. The last time I went was the last straw, never will I return. They lady clearing up(who works in the kitchen) was so rude too(must run in the family); to just ignore my mum who was being gracious. When I said goodbye and thank you myself, she literally grunted at me. I am sorry I did not ask her if she was having a terrible week! Agree, they should respect their local community; which includes mums and children. Terrible customer service, the most unfriendly tea-shop, with a rude owner. Agree; take a tea-leaf out of High Tea of Highgate! Perfection!

two rude women serving; had to pay 20p for ice and lemon in my water; most unwelcoming; didnt dare ask for mustard and extra chutney for my ploughman’s; couldnt wait to leave; never again.

I had a lovely cream tea earlier today at Treacle’s of Winchmore Hill. What a gorgeous little place, bathed in natural sunlight and accented with pretty wallpaper and scintillating chandeliers. The scones, so velvety and light; the strawberry preserve chunky and delicious; the beautiful cream so tempting and sinful! The dainty flowery cup and saucer, the décor throughout and attentive service were the«icing on the cake». Highly recommended.

As I am watching The Great British Bake Off on BBC2 where contestants are baking scones, I am still reminiscing my lovely cream tea I had earlier today at Treacle’s of Winchmore Hill.
