So, I’ve been writing reviews about all the new fancy bakeries opening up around Notting Hill and along Portobello Road while walking past this long-established outlet every day without a mention … Tregesers is an old-fashioned chain of bakeries where everything on offer is made from white flour. I have bought the odd item here before — long before Caffe Nero opened up a couple of doors down and before Nisa across the road started offering croissants. In other words, it is not my first choice, especially now that there are so many bakeries offering healthier choices(I prefer my bread sourdough, or at least wholemeal — preferably organic). But it is one of the original shops still alive on Ladbroke Grove, and long may it continue.

A little bakery near the tube station, maybe it’s a bit new cause I haven’t noticed it recently. Had grabbed a coffee somewhere else and was in need of something savory and breakfasty and on the way to work. Bam! tasty ham and cheese croissant. The sweet pastries looked great too. Not sure how ordering cakes works here, at least not yet ;)
