For some reason I didn’t have high expectations of Trew Era, but given its close proximity to my flat, I’m happy it’s so good. I’ve only tried a latte so far, but it was quite inexpensive at £1.80 and very tasty, maybe a 4.25÷5 on my internal coffee scale. I don’t know if I’d put it in the«gourmet» coffee league with Workshop/Caravan/Monmouth/Ozone, but it was still really good, not bitter, and with excellent balance between coffee and milk. And the staff were nice and cheerful, the space is cozy, and they have outdoor seating. Hard to beat for the summer.

Great café. And all for a good cause. Come along and support Russell Brand’s latest enterprise.
