I love this place! i live just down the road, and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. They’ve just opened a new organic café next day which is equally as charming and has awesome jazz on a friday night. Definitely one to check out for a yummy sandwhich, fresh juice or some organic produce(i recommend the olive bread). Big love

Started popping in here for a Sunday morning/afternoon breakfast, usually very much worse for wear They staff in here are great, very friendly, really good service; and the wall is covered in photos of Turkish wrestlers… The full Troy breakfast is huge, £7 which isn’t too bad… Have only eaten breakfast here but get the impression that although the food quality isn’t amazing, you get a lot for your cash, and its a very efficient means to an end

This is a really lovely little café which I am a big fan of! The food has always been really good when I’ve eaten here — tasty, good quality food — and quite reasonably priced too! There isa great selection from salads to burgers to sandwiches to breakfasts(served all day!). The décor seems a bit strange at first glacé, with photos covering one wall of men wrestling each other topless — which caused my friend and I to enter a discussion about whether said photos were homoerotic or not — but they play indie music and other inoffensive types which gives the café a more modern edge. Aside from the food and the photography, the atmosphere is always lovely in here. The owners and their team are a really friendly bunch who are always happy to help you out when making choices and even partake in a bit of banter, which always lightens the mood! I’d recommend this place for a lunch or evening with friends, family or for a casual date — a great, versatile little café!

From the outside ‘Troy’ echos the look of some ancient Greek civilization. Inside and out there are lots of tables to make sure all visitors are able to sit. The staff here are really REALLY friendly, the proprietors son is often wandering around, helping out. He’s only 11, but reads the Economist and will entertain you with his conversation! The lunchtime hot and cold buffet is excellent value and offers a vast array of Mediterranean treats, with tons of Turkish breads and dips. They also serve a large all day breakfast, and sandwiches, coffee and freshly squeezed Orange juice to take away.

First off, I should admit I haven’t actually eaten at this place but I feel I got a pretty good look, so what the heck. First thing you notice is the décor. It’s perhaps tending a little towards the dark and masculine for my tastes, but very well done. Nice tables, and sports photos on the wall. Then you notice the juice bar, with great mounds of fruit ready to be juiced. Then the serve-yourself salad bar, which looks lovely and fresh While I was visiting they seemed pretty busy for 10.30 in the morning, and the fresh made toasted sandwiches(on various posh breads) looked scrummy and very well presented. Most of the choices on the board seemed to involve mozzarella! The guy serving gave me a nice welcome and was working really hard. If it hadn’t been for having only a few pennies on me I think I’d have changed my plans and had some of their food! Maybe another time
