Just around the corner from tulse hill station the Tulse Hill Hotel offers a large bar/pub area with plenty of seating as well as a restaurant seating towards the back, although this was still very casual. It looked like there was also some outdoor seating. The menu was pretty good with a mid market gastro pub feel and price range to match £12-£17 mains. I had a pulled pork sandwich, which was fantastic. Others with me had a pasta dish and duck confit. General feedback was very good and service was quick and friendly. Perfect place to catch up with friends while having a bite to eat or just a drink at the bar.

This place has had a complete makeover and it’s wonderful. It’s really given Tulse Hill a little bit of a facelift too. I recently visited with a girlfriend for lunch. We had the cheeseburgers, fries and their amazing garlic mayo. Everything was cooked to perfection. The guy behind the bar really knew his stuff when it came to deciding what to drink. Gorgeous toilets, a great beer garden with huge BBQ area and a light, airy interior, which I can only imagine is perfect in the Winter with the huge open fire by the bar. I imagine the rooms are just as beautiful. Looking forward to going again and having dinner.

Having lain derelict for the best part of a year, I was very excited when the former Tulse Hill Tavern reopened as the Tulse Hill Hotel, and I wasn’t disappointed. My friend was running late so I had a very tasty coffee(dry jan!) while I sat in the very cosy bar area, which is a mix on comfy high backed chairs and long benches. It was only 1⁄3 full but there was a nice, laid backed vibe. The dining room is great, a bit snug but lovely and light, and I can’t wait to use the great looking decked area in the summer. I went for tap water and I wasn’t drinking, and was really impressed. Nothing bugs me more than when places serve you one, lukewarm glass as a penance for not buying their alcohol. Tulse Hill Hotel serves lovely big jugs, ours was flavoured with strips of cucumber and tasted delicious. It was replaced regularly. Tick! We both had chicken and root vegetables, chicken was lovely and moist, and good mix of vegetables. We also shared a portion of roast potatoes and a portion of fries, both potato products were lovely and crispy! Shared a sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream which was delicious. A great addition to the neighbourhood!

Pub. Fruit machines. Occasional jellied eel stand out front. Not much else to report, really.
