Being a lover of antique lights and the shop being so beautiful to look at from the outside, I ventured inside… This was a big mistake as the woman owner was immediately rude. Her attitude implied that I couldn’t afford anything in her shop and that I should leave. Now I may not look like a millionaire but I haven’t experienced such rudeness in an antique shop for a long time. The only reason that I haven’t given this shop one star is the beauty of some of the lights inside which are truly lovely. Such a shame.

Light, Lamps, Light, Lamps… Everywhere you look this is what you will see. Can you imagine all the electrical sockets and cables this shop has? they are on the floor, on the walls, on the ceiling, on tables, on chairs, all antique and all unique. Really it is like an alternate bulb/light/lamp world. The owner was there when I went and he was really nice and really passionate about his lamps, it was so surreal. He told how if I had the time he could tell were every lam came from and a brief history of its period and qualities(yes! of the lamps). I thought he was bluffing, so I asked him about a few random ones, and he eft me speechless(hard thing to achieve). French, Italian, Spanish, from the 60’s from the 80’s, even some from the early 20th century. As with anything antique there is a price to pay, sometimes more than you would expect, but coming here is a good history lesson as well as indulging your eyes.
