I discovered Union Viet, through a phở noodle soup challenge. Its quite hidden I thought, not obvious. But it is well decorated, spacious and a good feeling theme about it. — contemporary/rustic. I certainly enjoyed the brothers working there, very welcoming and friendly, and had a good old chat. I can tell they were passionate about the business. The food was fresh and quality. Spring rolls baked, which is a first for me, to me personally dry, but you can’t it have both ways. The broth for the phở was well made and didn’t have all that flavouring crap init. Well I completed the challenge, it was not easy, but I want to try their desserts. Mango ice cream. Again really fresh and taste amazing and perfect to help with my digestion. I enjoyed my experience here, and so did my friends. Not usually we would go «hang» and eat at a Vietnamese restaurant, but that’s how it felt, and that’s saying something.

It is located in a quiet street and despite being busy it has a relaxed atmosphere. The décor is very pleasant and menu has all the known Vietnamese bits from spring rolls through phở soup to banh mi baguettes. We had phở with beef. I think it is the nicest one you can get in the area. Portion was very filling and served in actual ceramic bowl instead of disposable cup(which seems to be dominating the nearby lunch restaurants). Will be back soon.

Wonderful restaurant with great food and décor in a convenient location. We started with the summer rolls and they were light and delicious. Also had the curry, satay and Phở soup. All were tasty and filling. We were especially impressed with the obvious care in choosing all the ingredients. The food was especially light and fresh. Will return many times.
