OK, so it’s a chain, right. As a result, there’s a certain blandness like all these London chains, But Wagamama makes decent food fast, and this particular one has become a fav of mine, I’m not quite sure why. Staff are friendly, and maybe the chef here is particularly good. Had a delish beef bun, and I always get ramen at Wagamama; it’s quite passable. I just like the atmosphere at this one for some reason. Friendly but not in your face.

after being on vacation for a while, i start to crave asian food/flavors so Wagamama was down the street from our hotel and decided to give it a try since it is a popular chain in London. me and justin b. came here for dinner and really liked the look of the place — sleek and long communal tables for dining. service was a bit abrupt but efficient nonetheless and there is a lot of variety on their menu. i ordered the yaki-soba for i think about 9 pounds and it was just really disappointing. I dont know if it’s because I’m from California and have had really good asian food, but this yaki soba was so bland and lacked any sort of flavor. i found myself just drenching it in soy sauce just to get some flavor profile in my meal haha. the noodles were cooked just fine and it wasn’t inedible or anything, but it just needed that extra burst of flavor. needless to say i left my meal with my asian food craving not satisfied haha

This has to be the best Wagamama I have been to; and I have been to 5 different branches. What makes this Wagamama stand out from the rest? The service here is excellent. Both times I have visited I have been rushed for time and both times the staff are friendly and serve food quickly. They also offer you hot water or green tea whilst you wait for take away food. There is plenty of seating and the ceilings are high which leads to a spacious comfortable atmosphere. The food is the normal reliably tasty Wagamama food. Their menu has really grown to new heights over the years; a good choice of starters, curry, stir-fries, ramen and dessert. If you’re looking for a satisfying and rather light oriental meal then Wagamama does the trick. Not very fancy but nice enough to yield a pleasant evening meal, ideal for catching up with old friends.

So richtig überzeugt hat mich diese Filiale der Restaurantkette Wagamama nicht. Ich war hier mit einer Freundin verabredet, die in der Nähe arbeitet und hatte eigentlich gute Erinnerungen an meinen letzten Besuch von vor einigen Jahren.
Ich entschied mich für Donburi mit Huhn und Garnelen. Geschmacklich hatte ich mir mehr erwartet, irgendwie war dieses Gericht leider gar nicht gewürzt. Aber da ich mal etwas anderes als ein klassisches Curry probieren wollte, ging ich dieses RIsiko ein und wurde enttäuscht.
Der Service war in Ordnung, wenn auch ein wenig chaotisch. Insgesamt kann ich (zumindest) diese Filiale von Wagamama nicht empfehlen. Es gibt gerade auf der Ecke Holborn /Covent Garden einige bessere Möglichkeiten zu Mittag zu essen.

Wagamama is a brilliant restaurant, whichever branch you go to. The food and service are consistently great. Sometimes it might take a while to get your food but that’s because everything is prepared as ordered. No sitting under heat lamps waiting to be sold. The raw juices are terrific… as fresh as they come. Very recommended for a casual, delicious meal. I nipped into this Holborn branch on the way to a voice class & was pleased to find it was clean, bright, and with lovely service!
