Lecker!

Great find! Guys at the gym next door recommended this for a high protein, well put together meal. Didn’t disappoint. Had a wonderful, chicken curry dish in a coconut, curry sauce with sesame rice in the middle of the bowl. Well done. Had my arm twisted for dessert, so i ordered the 3-scoop coconut ice cream, with toasted coconut flakes and without the passion fruit sauce, which i was glad they were out of… A purely coco-NUT evening. I’ll be back.

Wagamama is def one of those places you go to when you are with friends or co-workers, eating alone is too lonely at this place. This particular Wagamama is busy busy busy, but the food is tasty and hits the spot on the cold rainy days of London. I’ve ordered and shared, as their portions are pretty big: Chicken Katsu Curry Chicken Cha Han Ginger Beef Cilantro Salad Chicken Gyoza Chili Beef Ramen All really delicious and oddly enough, healthy! Never tried their desserts so wouldn’t be able to recommend anything there.

Ordered: Chicken Katsu Curry Price: £9.40 Review: Not bad at all for a curry(unintentionally patronising) but far too expensive for something that is usually about £3 in Japan. Worth the taste, but not the value, for sure! Feeling like a curry katsu ‘baller’ — please be my guest.

This is your run-of-the-mill asian joint with a mixture of options from rice dishes, to noodles, to soups. I’ve heard about it before coming out to the UK and had to check it out. I wish it was more to be excited about, but it was just the good ol asian chain with not much speciality to offer. The goyza was decent. The rie dishes were alright, but lacked some spice. Again, just another place that I would only visit on a last minute option.

The Japanese curry and spicy ramen are very, very good here. It sometimes takes forever to get your food. I’d recommend ordering an hour beforehand online and taking the food out.

Well prepare for the BUSIESTWAGAMAMAOFYOURLIFE. I entered into a frenzy during an obvious Wagamama rush hour; and it wasn’t pretty. The line ran up the staircase which I suppose was their only option. And the base of the line was crowded around the front door. Can’t blame a place for being too popular, that’s saying a good thing. GREATLOCATION! GREATSERVICE! Always get the chicken teriayki here and always warms my heart with deliciousness. This Wagamama served our meals insanely fast and were very quick on filling up our drinks as well(sometimes a plague here). Payment was also very prompt and easy to deal with. Some Wagamama joints are slow to get to you after you have already eaten(if you need the check sometimes it’s hard to grab anyone to help). But this Wags was on its game! Very efficient edition to the Wagamama chain. In conclusion, Abraham Lincoln chopped down a cherry tree for our freedoms*, and I say WEAREFREETOEATATWAGAMAMA. *historical knowledge questionable

This might be my favourite in the chain so far. The narrow lay out of the restaurant means that you can actually be on a table with just your group, not with complete strangers either side of you as part of the mass eating experience that many Wagamamas offer. To add to my enjoyment of my visit here, after spending much of my previously boring day deciding which of my 3 favourites to have when I cam here, there was a most interesting chicken curry on the specials that was actually rather nice. I did not glance longingly at the nearby Katsus even once!

It’s a 3.5 stars for me. Disclaimer: I’m from California so I think my expectation for asian food is a bit biased. I ordered the pan fried udon, chicken wings appetitizers, and a coke. Although I’ve had better pan fried udon before(I couldn’t put a finger on the taste; it was different than what I am familiar with), the chicken wings appetitizer was pretty good. Eight wings, crispy, with a light drizzle of a dark sauce, enough but not overwhelming. I think what I enjoyed most though(and how it tipped me to give it four stars) is its architecture. All window walls with a clear view with Tower 42(next to it). I’m sure there are a ton of restaurants that offer this scenery, but this is my third day here and this experience is still new to me. :) Would |I come back again? I wouldn’t say I’d come back right away, but I would not be ashamed to bring my friends here to let them check it out, too!

I’ll wag *yer* mama…(Nice one Laura, real nice.) Ahhh, I couldn’t help myself. You know what else I just couldn’t help? A secret addiction to the spicy broth, steamy noodles and succulent veggies in Wagamama’s ultra slurp-worthy kare noodle and ramen dishes. Where else can cold hands and cold tummies everywhere rejoice upon first sip? Bam — I just upped it from an a-ok 3-star to Yay! I’m a fan 4. It’s true, I’m definitely more than just a random Wagamamanizer, I’m a fan. Let the truth be known. You can find me tucking into a yasai katsu curry or yasai gyoza more than I’d like to admit.(Or than I would like to try and say three times fast.) In fact… I’m getting pretty hungry now… Upon further thought, I should consider working as a marketing consultant for them, cause I have a winner of a new slogan: «Wagamama… when you can’t find anything else to wag.» Eh? eh? Or How about: «Wagamama… If you can’t wag something nice, don’t wag anything at all» «First Wag is the deepest?» Ok, I promise I’m done now.
