This is a fairly big grocery store that has pretty much everything that one would expect a grocery store to have. It looks clean and everything that should be seems fresh. I don’t see a reason not to shop here if you are in the area.

I love going grocery shopping at Waitrose, they have great quality fresh food and store a lot of authentic French, Italian or Spanish food which is great when you miss home and want to cook a special meal. I went before Xmas looking for some raclette cheese and was disappointed not to find some, the lady at the cheese counter told me that I wasn’t the first person to ask… well, yes French people love raclette in winter!!! I went again last week and discovered that they now have some! Nice to see that they actually care about customers’ needs! The only downside is that it’s pretty expensive, I easily spend 60/80£ each visit for two reusable bags.

Well worth the extra cost to avoid the nightmare queues at Sainsbury’s check-out. The self-checkout system is great, too.

I normally shop at Sainsbury’s but was at the library next door so dashed into Waitrose. Really good availability, superb products. I know you pay a bit more at Waitrose but I am certain the fruit tastes better! Would probably go to Sainsbury’s for the bulk items and fruit and ready meals from Waitrose

This place is simply fantastic. I’d almost go so far as to say it’s a heaven on earth. Yes, it’s only a supermarket and yes, it’s more expensive than its competitor Sainsbury’s just down the road but aaahhh, the advantages. The food selection is wide, as are the aisles, the staff are always friendly and the managers are paragons of customer service and charm. In fact, I sometimes wish I could take one home! If only more supermarkets were like Waitrose
