After the new and improved waitrose opened, I only visit M&S to pick up their All Butter chocolate chip cookies, marinated meat, cold cuts and pizza on the days when I’m relaxing my diet. Waitrose is where I now end up shopping whenever I need groceries. The layout, the space between aisles, the variety(without being overwhelming), the freshness are a huge draw. The fresh meat and fresh seafood counters, are amazing. Fish tastes so much better when it hasn’t been frozen. I’ve finally started buying fish from a grocery store, Otherwise I had to head to Borough market or one of the other fresh seafood markets for fish. As a waitrose member, there are some cool perks, the free newspaper(subject to minimum billing) is good, but that free coffee/tea is perfect for picking up on the way out. It keeps me warm on my walk home and even though it comes out of a machine, its quite good. Don’t forget to pick up your counters after billing to drop in the box at the exit, to choose where you would like your donation(waitrose donates on your behalf, you don’t pay extra for this) to go. Their elevators go down to the basement and I’ve seen customers taking it all the way down, so I assume that they have some kind of parking there.

After thoroughly examing all of the shopping options in my area(Tesco, M&S, Simply Food, and Sainsburys), Waitrose is the one I go to if I just want to find everything on my list. Otherwise, I end up going to every store, because one of the others invariably does not have what I need.
