Disappointed that after many years enjoying the cheap and cheerful British menu here, this place is now an Italian! Food and service ok, though.

I have eaten good cheap meals here. Honestly, I’ve never had a bad meal. That’s the plus side. The minus side is that I don’t like the waiters. They are overbearing, and not very friendly imo. I think they are Portuguese. Years ago different people ran the West End Kitchen and they were extremely nice, made a nice atmosphere and the food was also great. I still come here time to time, but not as often as I used to. I would recommend it if you want a warm hearty meal with a cheap glass of wine(or just tap water) when out in the West End.

One of the worst meals I have eaten in my entire life. It was revolting. Soggy pizza for the Irishman and a sad looking under cooked steak with vegetables and potatoes that tasted like a microwave for me. Never again. It was cheap(22 pound including a beer and a glass of insanely bad house red wine) but we could barely bring ourselves to eat most of it so it was not worth it at all. We shared the pizza and weird potatoes that came with my meal. I have never eaten steamed vegetables that tasted so… wrong. It was like airplane food. But in Soho. Clean and has nice staff but the food was horrendous. Skip it.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Yes the food is cheap, but you get what you pay for. There is a fine line between«under-appreciated local place» and«dive.» We took two bites, paid our tab, boxed up our meals and gave the«food» to a panhandler. Then spent the rest of the night worrying for the panhandler.

Very good in its class Inexpensive Decent food, though don’t go expecting too much Friendly service, even when busy Every city, especially those tourist oriented, should have places like the West End Kitchen and The Stockpot across the street for inexpensive, non-rip off alternatives to inner city fast food.
