Willie Smarts

I have been going to Willie Smarts since moving to London 8 years ago and I have always been very happy with my cut & highlights.
The salon has a great atmosphere and the service from all the staff is exceptional.
I highly recommend visiting Willie Smarts

Went into this salon for the first time today for a haircut. Brill’!!
Had I been disappointed with my hair, of course I’ll probably judge otherwise but people are really friendly & the overall hour experience was fab.
I found it becomes something pretty rare for a salon to advise you on a chosen haircut, especially when you arrive in there with already an idea in mind. But I was surprised to see that for once someone really took the time to advise me. I’ll definitely think about going back there despite being quite pricey…(£42 for a haircut… ouch!). Thanksfully, I go to the hairdresser every 6 months!

I’m a total hair freak.
In the last 20 years of my life I’ve gone from bleached blonde, early 80ies Madonna style to Jennifer Aniston poky straight, super long hair.
I actually have no idea what my natural colour looks like anymore
(also because horrible grey hair is creeping in, damn it !).
I used to treat myself to the fabulous Aveda Salon in Covent Garden but then the credit crunch got the best of me and I had to say goodbye.
Lucky I had the Willie Smarts Aveda salon right in Clapham Common, close to where I live, close to the Tube and close to the all restaurants and bars of Clapham High Street.
I didn’t really have great expectations, the staff was very friendly but how about colouring and styiling ?!
And there comes Ian, my super lovely styilist … well, I have never received so many compliments since Ian has been styling my hair !
Aveda products are good, some are incredible (I love the Shampure shampoo and conditioner) some are just okay and might not suit everybody.
The styling products are fairly expensive but they last (I love the Light Elements Smoothing Fluid).
However what I think it’s truly outstanding from Aveda is their colouring.
Natural, gentle, absolutely fabulous colouring,
So throw away your high-​street DIY colouring and try the Aveda ones at Willie Smarts … you’ll never go back to DIY colouring ever.
It’s also less expensive than what you might think and so much more healthy.
Highly recommended !
PS — Little secret about Ian … he’s not just a great stylist, he’s a fabulous cook too !
