Perfect spot for a sandwich and delish caramel-chocolate square. Woburn Walk offers up a unique peek into Old London, with slate tiles lining this connection between Burton Street and Upper Woburn. The area’s full of history, with Virginia Woolf living around the corner as well as William Butler Yeats. While you’re in the area, be sure to walk north toward Euston Station and stop at St. Pancras New Church on the corner. On the south side of the church are four caryatids, a stunning display of Greek revival in 19th century architecture.

Yum! Nice little sandwich counter type place with good hot food as well. It’s off the beaten trail and so not as chaotic at lunchtime as Pret, for example. More reasonable priced, and the lasagna is better than average. I like to sit outside to eat when the weather calls for it. The people who work there are SUPER friendly and always remember me. I believe they offer a student discount too, which is handy for us starving study buddies.
