When travelling to West London for business I’ve stayed at the Xanadu a couple of times so far. It’s conveniently located in central Ealing.
The reception and breakfast areas look modern. The rooms are a bit more plain but the showers are really nice and big.
Breakfast, if not included comes at £10 which seems like a normal price even if the breakfast is what you find in any hotel: a choice of cereal or a full English. Fruit selections are a bit meagre.
Ealing seems a nice and up and coming area. Food, pubs and shops are plentyful and it’s well connected to get you into central London quickly.
All in all, I don’t have any reason to pick another hotel when I have to be in this area again.

Came here Christmas Day having celebrated locally with family. We arrived about 9.30pm to find an unprepossessing exterior and small interior. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, average sized and functional. We had booked a king bed which was comfortable.
The bathroom had no bath but the shower was hot and powerful. I wouldn’t say there was an abundance of free toiletries: just shower gel, shampoo and body lotion. Girls you will need to bring your conditioner, cosmetic pads etc. Also, the lighting in the room was very poor so it’s hard to see what you’re doing when blowdrying.
My only gripe was breakfast. I had paid extra for this, but was not advised at the time of booking (or at any time prior to check in) that the kitchen would not be open Christmas Day and Boxing Day. This meant that the only «cooked» item available was toast. I don’t mind that the kitchen was closed; I do mind not being advised about it. The coffee was good and the breakfast was brought up to the room at no extra charge, I guess because the restaurant was closed. However I would have liked a pot of coffee rather than being restricted to one cup. So, top tip: if you’re in this situation, ask for more than one cup of coffee! That said, to be fair there are coffee making facilities in the room.
All in all, a great little boutique hotel, priced at £160 for the king bedroom and breakfast. I would definitely come back.

Un hotel vraiment sympa et très classe. On est certes un peu loin du centre ville mais on y gagne en environnement et surtout en tarif ! La station de métro n’est pas si loin et du coup on est à 25 min du centre !
L’hotel propose un restaurant que nous n’avons pas testé avec un bar qui est assez sympa. Tout l’hotel est sur un thème genre indiana jones et du coup on voyage !
Bref un bel hotel avec des tarifs sympas pour une qualité supérieure ! Un bon plan

Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel!
Das Hotel Xanadu im Londoner Stadtteil Ealing wurde Ende 2012 eröffnet. Es liegt ca. 8 Gehminuten von der Tube entfernt, mit der man ohne Umsteigen in 20 Minuten in der Innenstadt ist, zum Flughafen Heathrow ist es ungefähr ebenso weit. Umgeben ist das Hotel von Geschäften, Restaurants und einer Einkaufsgalerie.
Nun aber zum Hotel selbst: Das Hotel ist ein Designhotel, die Einrichtung erinnert ein wenig an den Kolonialstil, ist aber sehr modern interpretiert. Es befindet sich ein Restaurant mit Bar und privaten Diningroom im Haus, hier wird vor allem asiatische Küche geboten.
Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Helle Wände in einem angenehmen crème-​Ton, kontrastiert von schweren schwarzen Vorhängen (die den Raum sehr gut abdunkeln), moderne dunkle Holzmöbel, flauschiger Teppich, ein wirklich tolles Bett, bequeme Stühle, ein großer Schreibtisch und ein moderner Flachbildfernseher, dazu ein angenehmes Beleuchtungskonzept wie vom Profi — hier kann man sich wie zu Hause fühlen! Das Bad ist ebenfalls modern und hochwertig Alles bietet ausreichend Platz und, was das wichtigste ist: Es ist super sauber und gepflegt!
Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer ist leider etwas kompliziert in der Bedienung und die Heizung funktioniert nur, wenn man eine Karte in den Kartenhalter gesteckt hat, was dazu führte, dass das Zimmer sehr kalt war, nachdem ich den ganzen Tag nicht dort war. Mit einer zweiten Zimmerkarte, die den ganzen Tag im Zimmer blieb, lies sich das aber beheben. Da das Bad keine separate Heizung hat, ist es hier leider ebenfalls eher kalt. Leider gibt es keine Minibar im Zimmer, dafür bekommt man aber zu jeder Tages– und Nachtzeit Getränke gebracht. Tee, Kaffe und heiße Schokolade kann man sich ohnehin im Zimmer zubereiten, dafür ist alles vorhanden (sogar an die Kekse zum Kaffee denkt man in diesem Hotel g).
Das Hotel hat leider kein hauseigenes Spa, jedoch erhalten Gäste kostenfreien Eintritt in das Schwimmbad eines nahegelegenen Fitnessclubs. Der Fußweg dorthin dauert ca. 10 Minuten. Das schöné, neu angelegte Spa entschädigt aber hierfür: Neben einem Pool, in dem man seine Bahnen swimmen kann, gibt es einen Whirlpool, 2 Trockensaunen und ein Dampfbad. Alles in sehr gepflegtem, angenehmem Ambiente.
Das Personal sowohl im Hotel als auch im Spa war zu jeder Zeit überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Wer ein angenehmes, gehobenes Hotel sucht, in dem man hervorragend abschalten kann, aber zugleich in Kürze in Londons City ist, ist hier richtig aufgehoben.
