Oh so you fancy, huh? Yashin tastes like it looks — fine and pricey. Yashin is gorgeous to look at. A stark, U-shaped bar surrounds the sushi chef and his team. Imposing statues of horses and a peculiar drying rack that features drying bones of fish are perhaps the most eye-catching decorations in the space. The place leans modern with Asian touches and English flair. My one complaint is about the bar stools. They are really cool looking, but they are a beast to sit in for three hours. Curious to see how Japanese omakase would be executed in London, we took the leap and ordered the full course. Some of the more notable dishes included the broth with foam served out of a tea cup. Second was the dish of sashimi served on a plate that was overflowing with smoke from dry ice. The fish was fresh and comparable to high quality sashimi that you could get in LA or Japan. Overall, we were quite pleased with the quality of the dishes and the creativity of the presentation. Between two people, the omakase and two bottles of sake, the tab came out to about $ 130 per person. It’s a lovely restaurant and perfect for a date or a business meal.

Lovely sushis, fresh seafood, nice desserts. Quite enjoyed the food and atmosphere, slightly expensive and the portion was kind of small which was the downside imo.

Extremely good food — vegetable plate waay overpriced for what it was, amazing bartender Mario! Overall, the food was really good, but I can only give 3 stars because it took us 2 hours to get our food. Make sure you make a reservation.

This place is massive. More massive than Yashin the sushi restaurant. I called to make reservations the day of and it was still pretty empty when I went. Edamame with bonito, prawn dumpling soon were okay. Both were about 4 quid. Tuna steak, grouper, yellowtail were all good. Note that the menu doesn’t offer sushi. Get the matcha mousse topped with kinanko crumb. This is a great place to get several things and share.
