This was my first meal in London. I know some people might be thinking of all the places why here? Well when you’re jet-lagged and on the verge of falling into a narcoleptic trance, takeout is always your best bet. The sushi was good, not life changing, but no where near being horrible. I sadly missed the message about the free miso soup that comes with each sushi box. Overall, a good place to go in a hurry and for«foreigners» aka Americans looking for safe bet.

We happened to run into their buy one get one free promotion so we had 2 sushi bentos. The quality of their sashimi is nice.

Meh pretty much sums it up. It’s a take away lunch place for students and office workers. The«hot» options are almost always served cold as most of the ingredients are mixed straight out of the fridge with the curry sauce. Nothing about this place stands out.

I order the deluxe sushi pack and got a free miso soup. The soup was ok on a slightly bland side. The sushi was not that good. The rice was a bit hard. The fish had some tough parts. Doubt I will come back.

The girl at the counter was nice and friendly. With that aside, for £13 I was expecting a large beef teriyaki bowl with only beef and vegetables(what I asked for). When she brought it out, it was about 4oz of beef on a handful of salad/lettuce… Something you can expect to pay £7 at the most. Left hungry, disappointed, and £13 down

The one thing that I really liked about the place was the friendliness of the staff. They were nice, tidy and knew what their sushi was made of by answering all my questions and concerns. The food is good and always fresh. I see that there are some reviewers saying their fish might have been old but I never really experienced that. I have never actually ordered sushi for home so I can’t comment on that.

The funniest thing is, I have never ordered from here. However, this place seems to be one of my good friend’s favourite haunts for sushi takeaways meaning that every time I go to her house I would find she had ordered from here, and I would totally steal her dinner. Ahem, I mean, she invited me over to share her dinner with her. They give 10% discounts to students, no wonder my friend loves this place(yes we are both well over the age of university but she is doing her PHD or something). But not only that, the sushi/sashimi quality is pretty good. I have absolutely no complaints there. I have not had mayonnaise in their sushi either(hurray! Not westernised sushi!) so I am one happy bunny and will not refuse food from here. The price seems decent albeit at the high end considering you are doing takeaways. Oh well, as long as it tastes good!

I was watching an episode of a popular TV show yesterday in the evening. I was laughing at Quagmire, because after an injury, he became a woman for a while. And it was quite funny. His reaction to the everyday situations was interesting. Anyway, I ate some sushi too. I think that if you want to taste some delicious sushi rolls this restaurant is the right choice that you should make.

Free miso soup with just about any purchase — rice bowls or sushi. Sure the miso is a little salty for my taste, but I think I just prefer blander flavors. This place is great. I wish I discovered this earlier. With so many new Wasabi chains opening up, it’d be so much better if they were You Me Sushi’s instead. The rice bowls are made to order, so the chicken katsu stays nice and crispy, and everything just tastes fresher, unlike Wasabi. There also is no additional charge for soy sauce or wasabi. I even love the fact that You Me Sushi has more choices than Wasabi. I don’t eat salmon or prawn, so I’m left with just veggie rolls at the other place. Here, I can get their specialty rolls that have no salmon or prawn in them. Affordable price, great staff, and great food. Even though this place isn’t close to me, I’m definitely coming back.

Though slightly less expensive than Itsu/Wasabi/Abokado… it wasn’t quite as good. I’d rather pay the extra pound or two. Although, to its credit, the extra bit of salad and free miso soup are nice touches. I will probably try it again since it is one of the closes spots to one of the places I work. But we’ll see…

Don’t go if you want hot food and are in a rush. When YouMe Sushi first opened up on Grays Inn Road, I stopped in to get my lunch here at least once a week. But now the service seems slow for what should be a quick, healthy lunch. I recently popped in for some noodle soup pre-portioned out noodles and veg, so all they have to do is microwave it and add some hot broth. To be fair, there was a queue of customers, but they forgot about my order and re-nuked the pot before adding broth. So much for fresh! I’d still pop in for the pre-made sushi trays, but think I’ll be going a little less now.

I don’t really have much to say that’s nice about this place except it’s close to where I go to school. I’ve been here twice now to eat and well I can’t expect too much can I? It’s fastfood«Japanese». When walking into the storefront there is the display of food to your right. That’s super clean and nicely laid out. The first time I went I bought the Beef noodle soup and a salmon salad type sushi plate. The only good thing is when you buy any Sushi/sashimi box you get a free miso soup. I ordered my whole meal for take out(or in the UK take away). I spent I think around 14 – 15. To me… it was NOT worth it. The food wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t good. The second time I went was about a week or two ago. I bought the duck noodle soup for 6 pounds. That was nothing memorable. Result: I’ll come here only as a last resort. I’d rather go to the other places nearby for basically the same price. Sorry you me sushi you are definitely NOT for me.

I was visiting a friend in London and one day we felt like eating sushi. He took me to YouMeSushi and I must say this was the best sushi I had in years.

I jumped in here for a quick bite of lunch expecting a certain standard of sushi. The prices were pretty decent, but the food was very poor. I had salmon and avocado sushi but I didn’t enjoy it at all. The avocado was hard and the salmon had a weird texture, I had to force myself into eating the last piece of sushi(and there were only 6!)

I walked in here to try the sushi and thought it was good value and quick service for pretty good variety of sushi if you need a quick, easy take away or something delivered then this seems to be a good bet

This was our primary visit. Having discussed to buddies and reading through the critiques I was stop longing for dining here. The service was really good quality. Very attentive. The atmosphere was comfy yet inviting. They’re going the excess distance to confirm their guests are content. It was the most beautiful ration That i’ve ever had! I strongly recommend this restaurant if you love delicacies. Very accomodating staff, and always there when you require them. The sushi culinary experts are fantastic and only serve the best species of fish. I’ve advised this eating house to quite a few, a lot of people and none are actually dissatisfied!

I’m not a sushi fan, but strangely, I sometimes crave it. On one such occasion, a few nights ago, we decided to order some online form the You Me Sushi website. After some complications them receiving/confirming our order, we were delivered a colourful and well presented box of nigiri, maki and sashimi. As per usual, I ate a little and wondered why I’d craved sushi and opted instead for cooking a lentil curry and chapatis instead. My partner however, who loves sushi was enthusiastic about the taste and freshness of the food and had no problem eating everything in the box. So apparently it was pretty good!

Ordered food from this restaurant twice through just-eat and both times i felt slightly ill after eating it. As i ate it in the office one colleague also commented afterwards that the sushi didnt smell 100% fresh — something i didnt pick up on while eating. No matter how good the prices — i just dont think that i’ll take a chance on eating the food from there again. With sushi, taking that sort of chance just isnt worth it.

Ordered delivery which came quickly and the kitchen did their best to accommodate us, calling to suggest alternatives when one dish wasn’t doable and then offering us a free drink as compensation. Sushi was good quality, delivered quickly. No complaints!
