I have not tried many Italian places in London. Whenever I get a chance to visit London, I like to come to this place. It’s very conveniently located, close by Harrods, Mandarin oriental hotel, other shops. I pretty much order the same thing, veal escalope with the a side of pasta. it is consistently delicious. Other things I have tried includes the burrito and bruschetta, and eggplant appetizer. The burrata quality is very good, but they cheap out on the basil. The bruschetta come with 2 slices, bread is generally warm, but expect it to be light. For dessert I usually get the crème Caramel, and tirades. they are both amazing. The service is generally good when they’re not very busy. having said that however, even when they are busy, they will eventually get to you with a genuine smile on your face. Can’t wait until next time.

Went for lunch today after our visit to the V&A museum today. Had to wait but only for about 10 mins. Service was pleasant, however the food itself was delicious. Be it that it took them a very long time to get the food out. I got the two course special with a squid and mango salad. Which was nice, and I got the pan fried salmon for my main. I must admit, the seafood risotto look much more appetising. That would definitely be on my list to try on my next visit. Excellent location for when you’re doing a bit of shopping at Harrods.

This has been my favourite place to eat near Harrods since I was a little girl! I remember the different little details they used to have at the restaurant where the décor was slightly different… the wooden tables would have coloured placemats(green and pink!) now it’s just white waterproof cover that is disposable and easy to clean. They have maintained the wall and ceiling décor since as long as I can remember. The staff are always very friendly despite the restaurant getting very busy, they are always pleasant! I have always had good experience with the food here and it really feels like ‘Aunt Teresa’ has been cooking, the food always tastes fresh and homemade. Their veal escalope is a favourite of mine and their napoletana spaghetti is delicious, their zucchini fritti always tastes freshly made and comes nice and hot. I have brought a lot of friends here and they all seemed to love it too! The desserts are delicious, especially the Crème caramel and banoffee pie. In the summer, they do a nice bowl of fresh strawberries with ice cream which is wonderfully refreshing on a warm day! And ofcourse, you are right on Harrods’ doorstep so after a day of shopping you can work up an appetite and enjoy Zia Teresa orrrrr you can eat, enjoy and then go on a spree! Either works ;-)

This restaurant caught me by surprise as we were leaving Harrod’s and were sooo hungry. The service was good and the food was yummy. I have the minestrone soup, which was soooo good. I also had the spaghetti bolognase sauce and ate every bit of it. I will definitely be back there again. They also have about 5 other restaurants within the same franchise…

Disappointing, a below average Italian restaurant, they just love your money! Asked to add chicken topping to my pizza and the price went up from 9 to 18!!! Service was also below average, but the tip was mandatory included! Just go to somewhere like pizza experess and save your money with much better quality. Have been in 1000 similar places where the food was 1000 times better.

Decent spot for lunch across from Harrods. I really enjoyed the appetizer of mushroom and Gorgonzola but the pizza was underwhelming. That being said I definitely consider myself a pizza snob(from NJ/NY area) so it was just okay. The margarita pizza is just a plain pizza not traditional like you would expect. It’s also definitely on the pricer side.

Excellent Italian food, very fresh! The fettuccine house special is quite tasty. The pizza was very good. Ravioli was also excellent. The service was also outstanding. Right next to Harrods, for when their food shops are too crowded this place is an excellent alternative and there is free wifi!

My wife and I were wandering around after touring the beautiful Kensington Palace and went through Harrods to see what they had to offer food-wise. While all of the places looked wonderful, they seemed to be about 2x as expensive as I’d expect to be normal for a nice meal. After looking through all of Harrods we walked our and stumbled upon this lovely little Italian restaurant. My wife and I shared a Bruschetta and Artichoke/ham pizza. Living in Chicago, the thick crust pizza is a big deal. Having been to New York several times, their thin crust pizza is also a big deal. The pizza here was actually better than both and was a perfect but light crispy thin crust. Their desert menu was also to die for. The thing that set this place apart was their service. As an American traveling on holiday to the UK/Europe, you don’t normally expect the best restaurant service as servers don’t basically live off of their tips(unlike in the USA where most servers make $ 2.50 per hour plus tips). The manager was chatting up this older British lady and when she mentioned her eyesight wasn’t so great he not only picked up her bag that she forgot, but personally escorted her outside, found her a taxi, and made sure to help her into it. Great food, great service, authentic experience. Love it. Also, if you checkin on Unilocal, you get a free coffee with desert.

Food was very good, though expensive for what it was. Had the Quattro formaggio(minus ham — who puts ham on a four cheese pizza?) Pizza was very good. Service was so-so. Not enough staff for their lunch rush. Eating by myself, I had to wait almost 15 minutes to get my check. Very strange. As others have said, proximity to Harrods probably explains their ability to charge such crazy prices.

A bit of a regular haunt on trips to London and this should explain why! I first stumbled across zia Teresa after an afternoon spent ambling round harrods, after stumbling out the side door it was the first place in site so a quick check of the window menu showed a good selection of dishes at prices you’d see in Birmingham(no London markup!). Straight away you can tell the food is the passion here, I’ve never had a bad dish on a number of visits and the staff are extremely polite. The ceiling mural of clear blue sky with the odd white cloud, combined with atmospheric candle lighting and gentle music promotes a dining experience not to take for granted in today’s dining culture! As expected from any good Italian there are an array of pizza, pasta and meat and fish dishes, no shortage of veggie options and a few nice salad options. If you have room after the starter and main they provide a very fine cheeseboard and excellent espresso! Im only knocking them down to four stars for 2 reasons: firstly service during busy periods can be a tad underwhelming(you might need a quick wave every so often) and secondly(through no fault of their own) they are not the best Italian I have tried in the UK, that honour goes to a now retired family Italian in brum who I am still trying to find a replacement for — but either way you wont go wrong here!

Four of us Popped in here to get away from the Christmas rush around Harrods Didn’t have a booking on Saturday night so it was a relief to find a free table Nice staff who quickly re set a table for us We ordered and the food arrived promptly Very nice Calamari and bruschetta We also asked for chicken Milanese(not on the menu) but they said no problem All in all a reasonable experience with good food. But far too expensive £160 For 4 people

Honestly, it’s one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. Their pizzas are fabulous and always prepared with fresh ingredients. The staff is always friendly and make you feel like at home. They just deserve 5 stars :)

Oh my goodness this place is expensive for what it is! I think we probably should have known better than to go to an Italian restaurant next door(practically) to Harrods, but after freezing to death at the Winter Wonderland fair, and then it being late and finding it hard to get food anywhere, we went. In all fairness, the food was really pretty good. The Antipasti della Casa was absolutely amazing — the best mozzerella I’ve had in a long time. I got Spaghetti Carbonara — nicely el dente and perfectly fine. The service was also quite pleasant, in an attentive Italian waiter kind of way. But £100 for two people?!? It ain’t worth it folks.

The beau and I came here for date night after his parents enjoyed a meal here. It’s more his parents’ kind of place, probably. It was pretty crowded on a Monday night with folks who were older and speaking Italian. No complaints about the quality of the food – we had fish and liver with veg – though portion sizes weren’t what you’d expect for the price considering it was all simply prepared and very simply plated. Come to think of it, the enormous size of the plates themselves might have been the reason for the meal looking sparse… Dessert was also a bit pricey for the size, but the cannollino and the tiramisu were creamy and just sweet enough. Bottom line: Not enough basic italian food for your money!

Taking a break from shopping and not wanting to go to the same old places I tried this small pizzeria/trattoria across the street from Harrods. I wanted to like it in hopes of finding a good Italian in that area so I walked in with an open mind. But while nothing terribly wrong with the place, nothing was really right either. It just felt lack luster from the surroundings which were more Swiss chalet then Roman trattoria to the food which was just OK. To be fair, I just had the pizza, but honestly I have gotten better from a Pizza Express. The patrons around me ordering pasta and meat dishes which looked OK, but again, nothing that made me wish I had ordered that over what I was eating. The service too was in need of a boost. My waitress was an older woman who seemed bored. Poor dear, she seemed like she was being forced into doing hard labour by serving tables. What a shame, with such a great location, if someone just polished it up a bit it could shine.

Surprisingly enough for a restaurant in this area, they offer a set menu which is surprisingly good value. It’s either 15.95 for 2 courses or 18.95 for three and there is a good choice of options for each course. Whilst we enjoyed our starters the mains were slightly underwhelming and service was a bit slow, despite the relative quietude of the restaurant. We forgave them this, however, when we got to the puddings, as they were delicious(especially the crème caramel) and apparently all made on site. This is never going to be a ‘must visit’ Italian but it’s a good option for a relaxing meal after you’ve been fleeced at the Egyptian corner shop across the street.

Had dinner there on Friday night, after skating at the Natural History museum. Was well hungry by the time we got there! I had the pulcinella pizza, which was good, but not overly impressive(somewhat disappointing for such a very italian place). The glass of house red I ordered was lovely too. And as a follow-up, I would highly recommend the tiramisu. It’s quite possibly the best tiramisu i’ve had in London! My pizza was slightly disappointing, but I’ll have to go again and try another one to be sure. A big selling point for me was that for the first visit they honour the tastelondon card, and we had a 2-for-1 on the courses. Makes me wish we’d gone for the other food, as pizzas are £7 to £11, whereas the other dishes go up to £25 for some of the mains. Entrees are around £10 to £14… Not an inexpensive place, by any means, unless you head for the pizza. Overall, I’d recommend it for dessert and service, and I would visit it again. It’s probably buzzing with people in the early evening hours of post Harrod’s-closing-time. When we went(Friday at 21:30) it was nicely quiet, with italian music playing(Eros Ramazzotti, nothing too flouncy)

Fish was served whole but wasn’t deboned like some places do right as they serve you. It was also sort of oily. Salad wasn’t very fresh. Service was slow. Ambience a bit stiff and not too many people inside. Lots of great Italian places around so it’s got some pretty hard competition(i.e. Signor Sassi and Sale e Pepe)

This place is very much a REALITALIAN restaurant. My wife — called Teresa — always has to go there, when we are in the area. I like the food there — she loves it. I really love and hate the atmosphere in there. The mixture of being hectic and relaxed at the same time is very Italian. They do have the real — sometimes rough — charme of some real Italians. The waiters shouted at each other and then sing romantically! Mind you, it’s nearly always busy — so don’t come at the peak time.
