Pretty standard Italian chain affair. Have been there for a few lunches and the service has always been friendly and prompt.

Zizzi’s reminds me of cheaply made Italian food. The interior was very modern and we got seated towards the back of the restaurant, which worked to our advantage as it was a hot day and we were sat by a window. It was very busy so it was lucky we had booked in advance. For starters I had the bruschetta, this wasn’t bruschetta it was just normal french stick with tomatos and onion on top, I wasn’t impressed at all with the starter. What really irritated me, was that on the menu there were no V’s next to any of the dishes, which meant I had to read every single dish to work out if it was Vegetarian or not(VERYVERYANNOYING). I found a tomato dish and they said they would add roasted vegetables to it which I thought was great. The dish came out and it was very bland. It’s one of the worst Italian dishes I have had. The service was very slow, even after the restaurant was half empty. The bill came to £42 for two of us. I definitely will not be going again any time soon.

Zizzi well it’s the same as Ask Restaurants, or at least owned by them is this group taking over Britain? Well you know what you’ll get and it’s generally decent enough. With all these manufactured chains they do a empty box fit out, by people without a brain, budget or sense, who never seemingly eat in them. So if you get seated in the main body of the place expect a hollow, noisy meal, for a more comfortable time get seats by the door as the ceiling is lower and there are more soft corners to break the racket.
