Awful pub, overpriced and staff are ridiculously strict over ID compared to most other places in town(even most of the nightclubs). A friend of mine was kicked out as the barman didn’t like his ID even though he wasn’t even intending to buy drinks.

A pretty rough town centre bar that I would personally avoid like the plague. I know of people who have been involved in un-provoked violent attacks for just seemingly being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I remember a time when it wasn’t quite as bad back in 1999 when this was one of the only places that still sold Carling Premier, but nowadays it’s probably on a par with the Gallary in terms of chaviness and you’d probably avoid it if you like trendy bars like the newshouse and orange tree etc. That said, I’m sure I’ve ended up in worse places on stag-do’s etc. So you could probably have a good night in there if you were ‘up-for-it’ it’s proximity to echoes would make it a good choice if it were raining!

Recently revamped, looks so much better than the old Unicorn, Great food, Friendly staff and nice relaxed atmosphere make it a wonderful place to be.
