serendipity restaurant

I have had the good fortune to visit this restaurant on several occasions and I can honestly say there is no need to travel to the big cities for a world class dining experience when you can get it right near the centre of Louth. This is one of the finest dining experiences that you will ever have. The restaurant is part of the Priory Hotel and is open to non residents on a friday and saturday evening. On the website it does say to book otherwise you might be disappointed. From experience I would suggest booking well in advance because the demand far outstrips the supply.
The setting is wonderful, perfect for a romantic meal, the menu has a wide selection of gastronomic delights — my mouth is watering just remembering my last visit — the food is delicious, superbly prepared using mainly local fresh produce by Paul. The selection of drinks is also extremely good and considering the setting quality etc, the prices are low. I’ve paid much more for supposedly high quality cuisine in London, Manchester etc and not had anything that matched the food served here. Paul and Shelley; the hosts, are fantastic so friendly and helpful.
I don’t think that there is another restaurant that I could recommend more than this. I will reiterate — BOOK EARLY.
