Ibis Hotel

The business I was working for booked me this hotel for the evening before my flight and the evening after my returning flight. Both times were poor.
On my first stay I arrived to a freezing cold room and on my second stay I arrived to a stinky room. The TV didn’t work and neither did the wifi — I rang reception multiple times and they either didn’t answer or put me on hold without answering. Despite the fact that they have a ’15 minute satisfaction guarantee’. Breakfast was awful, poor choice and had quite clearly been out since the start time of 4.30am as food was hard and stale. When talking to the staff they all had English as a second language — they couldn’t understand me and I struggled to understand them.
To sum it up it was just really poor. I suggest you stay in encore or the holiday inn — they are next door. Very very disappointed with the service — especially when both times I was arriving late after a long period of travel and just wanted to be able to relax and wind down.

Ok hotel grand for a night before a flight. the net can be slow at times, breakfast it ok nothing special. But if get the hotel for a reasonable price it’s not bad. you can walk to the hotel or to the airport 15min or
traffic is heavy in the mornings.

Had a business lunch in the restaurant. Good décor and very clean but staff disappoint. After the food arrived I had to get up and get my own napkin and cutlery and when we asked for hot sauce or tabasco we were told they didn’t have any. I’ve never eaten in a hotel restaurant before that didn’t have tabasco in either the restaurant, bar or kitchen. Don’t come for the service… or the tabasco ;)

Total shithole. Room stunk of cigarettes, tiny room, had to move to the corner of the bathroom to close the door. 1inch door clearance from the toilet. A strange ceiling overhang in the shower. I had to bend over to take a shower. There was a storage container blocking my window, providing no view, whatsoever. Would only stay here if everything was booked within an hour taxi ride. Decent bar but the bartender wasn’t friendly or inviting at all.

Auf jeden Fall ist das Hotel zu empfehlen wenn früh Morgens der Flug geht.
Der Terminal ist binnen 10 Minuten Fussweg zu erreichen.
Wir haben das Ibis Hotel gewählt weil wir keine Lust hatten morgens um drei Uhr von der Londoner City aus zum Airport zu fahren.
So haben wir unseren Koffer im Bahnhof St Pancras International (dort fährt die Bahn nach Luton ab) kostenplichtig abgegeben und haben einen langen Tag bis spätabends in London verbracht.
Vom Bahnhof Luton fährt ein Shuttle Bus zum Airport der auch fast direkt vorm Ibis Hotel hält.
Das Hotel ist sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Das Restaurant gleicht zwar eher einer Kantine, aber das bestellte Essen war gut und für London Verhältnisse auch preislich ok. Ebenso die Geränke und die Übernachtung.
Das Zimmer war gar nicht mal so klein und modern eingerichtet. Super sauber übrigens!
W-​Lan ist im Hotel gratis und hatte sehr gute Verbindung.
Das Bad war etwas klein, genügte aber vollkommen. Die Fenster sind schallisoliert. Da kommt kein Ton von draußen rein. Sehr schön!
Für den Preis von unter 60 Euro pro Zimmer war das wirklich gut!

Nice hotel, good rooms and wonderful location within walking distance of Luton airport, reception staff are friendly and helpful. Only 3 stars because restaurant food is slow to arrive, and even then it’s cold and delivered by hostile staff

Das Hotel habe ich gerade gebucht, 58 EUR für eine Nacht ohne Frühstück ist sehr günstig, kenne das IBIS aus Hamburg, erwarte dort keine Wunder, nur einen Parkplatz. Auf das Frühstück im IBIS kann man in England gut verzichten. Nächste Woche Bilder und mehr Infos zur Nacht am Flughafen. Parkplatz war da, 5 GB Pfund. Auch das Restaurant ist ok. Die Bedienungen sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Pretty much all you could ask for in a budget hotel near the airport. A good bet near Luton.
