A nice little newsagent. Along with the usual newspapers, magazines and basic groceries, there is all the stationary, postal supplies and greetings cards you’d expect of a post office. There’s also ornaments and kids toys on sale — if you can’t find something in Sainsbury’s then just pop across the car park to Major as they will likely have it.
Major also run a dry cleaning service and have a Johnson’s estate agent in house, they also previously had a video rental but got rid of this.
The family that run it are lovely people, all the locals affectionately call the couple Mr and Mrs Major.
