Absolutely love this place, it’s the sort of restaurant you can spend the whole evening and not feel rushed and enjoy good food, drinks and service. The menu is authentic and great flavours, the presentation is great too, and unlike many restaurants these days, there is no scrimping on portion sizes. The early bird menu is great value, and deffo worth the trip out of town, for the same level and service and quality of food you’d pay double in the city centre.

Ive been a few time and as soon as you walk in to the restaurant. The first sense of feeling is wow… its too hot in here then the waitresses are all over you. Which is pleasant. Normally the service from the waitress or the lower tier staff are very friend but as usual the man in charge very very miserable(please if you cant smile… then please dont serve)… but on the whole. Great service especially from he spanish waiter and the surroundings are perfect… I would say its almost 2 to 3 star looking Michelin restaurant. But then the food arrives… omg… its bad. My scallop starter is a joke. 3 tiny scallops in a soup is ridiculous. My steak filled with cream cheese… what is the point of putting in cream cheeseis beyond me… Tasteless and for the price a absolute joke. My mrs fish soup starter was lovely … but the duck main was a massive disappointment. The skin of the duck terrible. Like the chez nouz review does anyone with money have any taste what so ever. I remember when I ran a restaurant these so call rich clients would order sweet and sour chicken with a curry beef and a side portion of chips… nice… Ive been 3 times cause its my friends favourite restaurant but god its bad. Rip off … im so angry with restaurants ripping people off. Conclusion… Never again am i going back… just rich expensive food that leave no taste in your mouth and worst of all a sour taste in you wallet. Anyone who come here and says its brilliant seriously has no idea of what french food is all about…

This is one of the few consistent restaurants around Warrington. Not cheap. I usually budget for £40 per person including drinks. Not light food either. It’s good.

Divine. Sublime. Delicious. I could conjure up a couple of hundred adjectives to describe this French restaurant but none would do it justice. Mention French cuisine, and images of a piece of mangetout in a dot of «jus» on a plate spring to mind. This is SO not the case at La Boheme, but before I go into details about the food, let me describe the whole experience. This restaurant is owned by Olivier and Adele Troalen who have created an absolute treasure. Firstly and most importantly, you HAVE to book here. No matter what night of the week or what time you go, I will say it again;” YOUHAVETOBOOK”. This is everybody’s favourite place and can be booked up a couple weeks on advance so if Valentines Day is approaching, fellas I would book before Christmas! Secondly, as you walk in, you are seated in the pleasant bar area, and sometimes given complimentary canapes as you peruse the menu. Good idea this as it cuts down the time you sit at your table, deliberating over the Steak or the Sea bass. Décor is muted greys and jade greens and is the epitome of class. Once seated, food is served quickly by lovely staff. The Maitre ‘D is almost a caricature, small, round and a bundle of energy he is totally lovely and makes every customer feel special. Now for the food! I always take advantage of «Le Menu Fixe» which is 3 courses for £22.50 and £8.95 for children under 10 years old. For this miniscule sum, you have a choice from 10 different starters and 12 different mains. I must recommend the scallops for starter, they are the best I have ever tasted, and the fillet of beef and the Gressingham duck is too die for. Everything is served with beautifully cooked seasonal veg in light and lovely sauces. When the desserts arrive they are like pieces of art work on the plates and I get all greedy and have the«Assiette Gourmande» which is 5 perfect puddings on a plate. Seriously, who can resist a mini apple crumble next to a mini crème brûlée? When you leave La Boheme you are so full you think you won’t eat for a week. This is incredible food for incredible value and I can’t say a bad word about it.

Sometimes simplicity can be a much-needed commodity and while La Boheme serves some impressive looking dishes they sometimes taste like too much has been put into the mix. This is only a minor blemish however, as you can’t complain when both the service and the environment are so well maintained. This family-owned business obviously knows how to uphold high standards. If you want to avoid typical clichés like Frogs legs and snails then the term French cuisine can be a tricky one to define. For a well-executed example I’d suggest visiting La Boheme, as it’s unlikely you’d be disappointed. Price-wise the three-course option, at £22.95 pp, is a cracking deal for the quality(I recommend the goose liver and chicken terrine to start). Whilst the overall value is great the finish is a little clumsy as the owners are obviously trying to cater for both the family and the foodie markets. Caught somewhere between La Boheme can sometimes be somewhat bipolar and by that I mean inconsistent. For example, one moment you’ll be enjoying a fabulously presented dish but the next you’ll be ordering from a menu with titles like«Le Desserts» and«Le Early Bird Menu.» Note to menu designer: putting ‘Le’ in front of everything doesn’t make it French. However, I’d happily eat at La Boheme on a regular basis. Such is the value for money and service!

Gorgeous French restaurant tucked just on the inside of Lymm. Stunning food and an upmarket/slightly romantic atmosphere. It’s one of the best restaurants in the area for sure and amazingly good value. Friendly waiters who know what they’re talking about and a great wine list. Couldn’t recommend it more.
