I am a lover of Thai food and the Thai people. I had some good times at the Aroy and unfortunately watched it deteriorate both in service and quality of food. Cost cutting measures took away the authenticity of the food and the pride of the staff. When asked if they would eat this food, the staff one night became hugely embarrassed and admitted that no, they definitely would not. I felt for them. Clasic Thai tuned as authentic as a Floyd Grossman (yes I know I meant to) bottle.
The Aroy should stand as a warning. If your restaurant is failing, find the reason and fix it or get out of the trade. Don’t preside over an embarrassment.

Excellent Thai restaurant in Maidenhead!
They have a great £ 6.00 2 course lunch menu which is very good and as it is lunch time, they know you have your hour. and are limited with time and the service is really quick. Lunchtimes can be very busy and it is so nice to see a busy lunchtime restaurant — but with an offer like this you can see why! Why don’t others do similar?
They now offer a £10 dinner menu which sounds good too! I love the green chicken curry — my favourite!
