Huge store. Helpful staff. Great offers that change weekly. They sell food, home, garden, clothing and have a café and petrol station. Lots of car parking so will alway find a space. I bought 6 plastic garden chair. Was £10 reduced to £6 each. Great for next summer.

After a recent experience, I have decided to upgrade this ASDA Back up to 3 stars. ASDA are Coeliac UK’S approved Gluten Free supermarket with 8 of the essential items being stocked here and I found a really good amount of items here, it is a large store perhaps slightly too large but it does have a large Gluten Free range including some Gluten Free Dough Ball and Pizza mixes, biscuits and Nakd bars, some stock on the Nakd Bars could be improved and I struggled to find Genius Bread and crumpets however they did even have Gluten Free Porridge on the isle. I asked the staff if they had any Gluten Free pies, looking for the NO G range that they may or may not have, knowing they would have a Gluten Free pie and they didn’t appear to understand what gluten free was and brought me back a Quorn pie, they did seem nice and tried to help but it would of been helpful if they could of actually helpfed me. It is nice if the staff are nice but they need to be able to help you, I know for a fact they sell Gluten Free frozen goods and she didn’t seem to understand what it was really, as I was in a rush I couldn’t go round myself on every isle. I was happy to see the Costa Express machine at the front of the store working again! Due to the issue with the staff and the store being too big and a nightmare to get in from the main road with the roundabouts and winding roads, I still can’t give more than 3 stars to this store. UPDATE: On my visit today the toliet was a mess, it looked like someone has urinated all over the floor, as it was wet all over, and on the seat, also the toliet was blocked with toliet paper and many things in the toliet seemed to have collected dust. It was absaloutly disgusting to see a toliet in this vile state, because of this I feel 2.5 stars is fairer for this store but the store is a good one and massive, so I feel it should remain at 3 rather than being demoted at 2, as honestly it does not deserve 2 stars, rather deserving 3.

Wow. What an Asda! In reviewing supermarkets, it can be a tricky old game on Unilocal,as oftentimes one is very much like the other. This however is poles apart from the one at Hulme. Admittedly when I went it was pretty early in the morning, but it feels at least five times more spacious, seven times more empty and about eleven times more organised. Serious calculations, people. It’s located in Eastlands, just past Ancoats and right by Manchester City’s ground. Because it’s surrounded by Sportcity apartments, it tends to attract the professional crowd, and as such the variety of food in there is astonishing. And I didn’t even make it upstairs to look at the homeware! Sheesh. This is my nearest big supermarket and admittedly it is a bit of a trek away, but the bus stop and tramlines make the process a lot easier. I can hike it up there and ride back with my shopping! My only little disappointment was finding a whole massive aisle dedicated to chicken but no turkey, however a trip to the butcher counter would have solved that no probs I’m sure. And the lady helping out at the self service checkouts is the *nicest*, even though I felt horribly ignorant as I didn’t notice her for ages due to my massive headphones! Top notch all round.

The best Asda in Greater Manchester. One of the best Asda/WalMart establishments, that I’ve seen, the world over. Firstly, in true Asda fashion, it has everything you could think of. from neckties to bowtie pasta. pineapples to paracetamol. petrol to Pims. It is enormous. You could shoot a .22 rifle from one end of the main aisle and it would fall to the ground before reaching the other side of the building. It’s the size of an airport terminal. The cleanliness, the selection, the stock, the staff, the abundant parking, the efficiency; *24 hours!*, of course the price. It’s perfect. The best place to shop for the home in Great Manchester. Don’t even think of going to Hulme. the location is poorly planned and poorly stocked. Longsight, meh. Sport City is where it’s at. I wish they had one like this in every town.

I believe this is one of the biggest Asda’s in Europe, it truly is massive inside with large food, electric, clothes, home and furniture sections. It also boasts a Next store funnily enough right next door. Do be careful at weekend however as the Asda gets ridiculously busy

If ever there was a modern day Alladdin’s cave this is it!!! You know what if I ever get rich an famous, I would wear disguise and still shop here, I love it!!! It has pretty much most things that you would need. I mean I would like to film my own version of dawn of the dead inside here. I could happily be able to survive in here for a few months, eaaasily!!! This place isn’t about a shopping list, this is about being able to exploring the wonderful world that develops in front of you. I come her so often that as gigantic as this place is I know it like the back of my hand, and I still get excited about going here!!! Don’t ask me why… I suppose its just being overwhelmed by the fact that it simply isn’t possible to do enough shopping… the choice is just huge… I just cannot buy everything !!! Aaaaaaaah… I have chosen a small percentage of my latest experience and documented the diversity of the place with my i-yelp-pics!!! I must have look bi wierd walkign around taking random pics… but I don’t le care… it’ all for you fellow Unilocaleeps… so enjoy!!!
