A very pleasant way to relax for a couple of hours before a flight. I feel that these lounges have really upped their game in recent times with a decent offering for breakfast. Everyone expects unlimited alcohol in an airport lounge, but these guys offer you unlimited bacon sandwiches! As well as porridge, cereal, fruit, pastries, warm croissants and other goodies. Nicely decorated and a great ambience with lovely views over the apron and runway. This will certainly be my preferred lounge as I pass through terminal 1.

Decent lounge. Wifi was hit or miss. Not super crowded by a fair number of people when I was there in the morning. Staff were friendly and the food /drink options were fine.

Very poor service. Got to the Aspire and got my partner and myself a drink. All ok so far. The place was nice and quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle. I decided to get myself a bacon barm. The gentleman behind the bar came round and started to give people bacon barns. I stood there patiently but by the time it was my turn there were none left. He then walked off and went into the back. After a minute or two he came back out. He then proceeded to serve other people with drinks. I stood there for a further 10 minutes with no sign of any food. I gave up and sat back down. I waited a further 10 minutes to see if anymore food came out but it never arrived. I then asked the man behind the bar if there were anymore bacon barns coming. No he replied sandwiches will be out at 12 but there’s soup. As I don’t like soup I gave it a miss and waited for sandwiches. A total of an hour I had to wait for them. What a waste of a wait. All they can be described as is Tuna stodge and egg stodge on small barms. They couldn’t even be bothered to butter the damn things. I would advise people to eat out first before eating here that’s if there is any food left. Totally disappointed but after reading reviews on trip adviser I should of known better!!! I’ve had to give it 1 star otherwise I can’t post. It doesn’t deserve any stars!!!

Aspire — Airport lounge manchester T1 When entering this modern and spacious lounge, you are greeted by a sweeping and vibrant reception area. As a paying walk up guest it costs £21.99 on the door or £25.99 in the Summer. As you enter the bar area serves a soup of the day, 3 types of sandwiches, 2 flavours of crisps and olives and nibbles. The drinks selection is good for soft drinks, bottles of beer and standard spirits which are served for you without question. Seating area is vast with a quiet area too. This ranges from soft chairs, tables and even some chez long overlooking the runway. This has to be the best T1 lounge with view, light and choices of food. I will defiantly return to this one on my next T1 departure.

A fairly standard lounge with your basic free drinks and snacks. Internet is available and worked well on my phone. Check in was painless, but they don’t do any flight announcements. Better than waiting downstairs in the general area since you can sort of sleep.
