Does anyone know where this shop has moved to? Great loss if it’s gone forever, but it’s no longer on Tib Street. Now I don’t know where to get my electrical supplies from other than a out of town trip to B&Q which I hate.

Berwick Electricals is different to most small hardware shops in that it’s actually clean and tidy. You know when you walk into some and there are literally random little bags of nails, lightbulbs and hammers all over the place with seemingly no order whatsoever? Well, it’s not like that here.
In fact, all the products are behind the counter, so it’s more the kind of hardware store where you go in knowing exactly what you need. As you’ll have to speak to the guy behind the counter to see any of their stock at all.

Truly Berwick Electrical is a very unique shop in the fact that if you can’t find it else where you’ll probably find it there anything from hard to find light bulbs, odd batteries, sink strainers, plungers (unusual I know for a so called electric shop)! as for the staff believe they are all family, think you must have caught the gent on a bad day always been helpful to me very knowledgeable.

A great electrical/​lighting/​small independant shop on Tib Street, I’ve always found the guy inside very helpful– In my endless quest for light bulbs, 40p for a 40w bulb– bargain!
I really belive that we need more shops like this as more people start to live in the city centre, It reminds me a bit of Mr. Benn because the guy magically appears at the hatch!

Ok, so here is where Im never sure if I should let you know if the shop was good, because it was ok, I mean if you need electrical goods it was fine, or if I should make the review about how I found the staff, who in this case was a gentleman who basically put me off the shop! If you dont know what you are talking about why do you run the shop?
