We’ve been here twice and both times were treated like criminals. Once my mum picked up something, then having changed her mind put it back somewhere else (the store is mammoth) and was followed around by a security guard who questioned her about where she dumped the package of supplements. After my dad complained, the manager apologised.
Another time, my mum and I not finding a tester wanted to open a pack to check out the bottle size and texture of a sun-​cream when given out by a staff attendant who asked us to ‘Use the Tester!’ when clearly there was none around.
Don’t think I will be back again.

Like the company’s flagship city centre store on Market Street, this Boots is a mammoth shop spread over two floors. There’s opticians, skincare and suncare advisors and private health consultants where you can find out about everything from flu vaccinations and weight loss programmes to more personal health issues like cervical cancer checks.
The whole store feels bright and spacious with lots of wide aisles and counters stocked with everything from vitamins, toiletries and body products to special skincare ranges by leading companies like Clinique, Clarins and Origins. If you’re planning to visit the Trafford Centre on a weekend, you should note that they also sell bottled water, multi-​grain bars and headache tablets on the second floor. And believe me, you’ll need them once you see and hear the thousands of shoppers around you!
