I often forget about this little Boots. It’s certainly not one to come to if you want a Boots meal deal or some Barry M eyeshadow. It stocks a limited range of products but has always had the essentials that I’ve required. First of all I wanted some cough medicine. I could barely speak and had been forced to go there by my boss as he was bored of listening to me cough at work. I’d never bought cough medicine before, so croaked my request to the lady behind the counter, who helpfully explained to me the advantages of the various types available. I took the cheapest, which tasted foul and didn’t really work. Another time I went in to buy some tweezers(where do tweezers disappear to?) and a razor. My razor was on offer and the cheapo tweezers have served me well. Recently I went to buy some razorblades for said razor, which were going to set me back £6.50ish for 3. I chickened out and bought a pack of 10 disposable razors which were in the sale for £1.89. I’ll wait ’til I’m in Bodycare in town for the blades, which will be at least a quid cheaper. They also have a Kodak booth, a BMI machine and a repeat prescription service.
