Good variety of dishes, good quality but a tad over priced. Service is a little slow but hey. Good for Vegetarians

We used to go here quite often and the food was really good, simply good quality food. However, have not been for 12 months and we decided to go back after getting a free weekend. Ordered burger and fries. Burger was cheap meat and the fries were part cooked and oil tasted awful. Tea had tea leaves floating and general sloppy kitchen service. Looks like they have cut back on their basic food quality and kitchen disciplines. Sad :-(

I wasn’t blown away by the food and the prices were high for what is essentially just another café

I have been 3 times with my family, I had the veggie breakfast which was the best veggie breakfast I’ve ever had, lovely food and nice and hot. My family had various other meals which they all enjoyed. We appreciate the flexibility with which they will substitute food to your liking. Also the staff are very pleasant and service was good.

If you ever find yourself hungover in Chorlton and are in need of a fry up to bring you back to your senses, then there is no better place than the Chorlton Eatery. OK, so Wetherspoons is cheaper, but the CE is altogether a more welcoming establishment. They also do sandwiches and salads(including a good range for veggies) tea, Lavazza coffee and smoothies. The only problem is that this place can become really busy, especially at weekends. Throughout the week(I think they serve breakies all day every day) you may have to contend with Chorlton’s yummy mummies but should have no problems getting a seat. There are a couple of tables out the front of the café, which seem to be popular despite their close proximity to a bus stop and the busy Barlow Moor Road.

I had the breakfast over the Easter weekend. It was great. I did make the mistake of eating outside in the sun. Its not set in the best of areas and with all the litter flying around it did put me off a little

Love this place. The Big club sandwich is my favourite in this warm and welcoming café. Food is always fantastic and served on time:)

Chorlton Eatery is a café with bold signage near the centre of Chorlton village, though lunalara is right about the stupid bus stop outside which delays traffic and makes it a tad noisy if the door’s open. They do fantastic breakfasts, but this ain’t a greasy spoon caff. It’s a much classier effort, the bacon, sausage, beans and other breakfast paraphernalia placed almost clinically on the plate, and not swimming in grease either. And if you’re lucky, they’ll substitute anything you don’t like in your breakfast, for an extra one of something else! They stay open for most of the day and serve a selection of sandwiches and salads, but it’s primarily used as a breakfast venue for an eclectic mix of Chorltonians. Well worth a look

The most reliable place to get breakfast in Chorlton and should be included in any day out on Chorlton. The other day we opted for a different breakfast venue. and low and behold we were disappointed. The moral of the story is always go to the Chorlton Eatery. The service is not always 100% perfect which is why it hasn’t got 5.

Previously called Big Cup I think, this place serves one of the best all day breakfasts I’ve ever had. It’s situated behind a stupid bus stop(you’ll see what I mean if you go) which slightly obscures it and makes eating outside an increased faff of noise and old biddies bumping into you at rush hour. Popular with arty looking types who talk too load about rubbish(thank god for the smoking ban because they used to smoke some weird stuff which was off putting) and workmen alike. Loads on your plate, do a good veggie alternative too. Only quibble would be I hate food served on a cold plate. Generous round of door stop toast. Great bacon and quality sausage(not your usual husky is it meat or is it just gristle banger) Good, well mannered children welcome though seems to attract mums with right brats that leave me grateful I’m not taking theirs home. My kids love their bacon butties and fruit smoothies Lovely staff, service with a smile. Clean and pleasant
