I have been a regular here for a few years know — they have saved my boots from the bin many a time! They prices here are good, I pay 15 to have my pair of size 9 resoled — done the next day and they are cleaned and polished when I get then back!

I’ve been a regular customer since 2008. I used to walk from Castlefield to Piccadilly, day in day in and my shoes made many miles. I needed a good shoe repairer and somehow I found them just on Deansgate. They’re not just good, they’re nice and they charge a very fair price. My happiest experience: when they redyed a pair of loafers. These are still my favourite shoes. And they’re fast as well. I’m coming back even after moving away from the City centre.

I had to share with you all how chuffed I am I found this shoe repair shop! On the way into work this morning I ‘snapped’ my heel off my favourite expensive knee high boots, apart from being very embarrassed I was mortified! I went to Craven’s on a recommendation and was sorted no problems, they would replace the heel, re-heel the other book and add new toe soles all for £18.00! so so much cheaper than Timpson and a service with a big smile. I was a damsel in distress and craven shoe repair saved the day! yay! my knight is shinning armour!

In lecture the other day, it was mentioned that Manchester lacks repairs shops for your clothes and your shoes and things similar. We’re the«throw away» society apparently. Some things lose their shine, we just buy a new one. I think there’s some truth to that statement, that Manchester lacks many repairs shops. Craven’s is the perfectly situated repair shop telling you«mend them, don’t dump them.» Yes give it up for Craven’s. However if your shoes are from Primark or New Look don’t bother. To get these one pair of boots done it would have cost me £8, not worth it of course. But if you’re a city centre dweller, lined with leather shoes and Manalos, do come on in and re-shine those babies. Craven’s also cuts keys, does engraving, watch straps, batteriees. It’s a little shop surrounded by the restaurants along Deansgate, but is one of a few in Manchester City centre. So think twice perhaps if you’ve got a little scuff on your leathers. Craven’s will work its magic.
