This is a good choice if you’re visiting the city and are spending all day out sightseeing. The rooms are small but very clean. There is everything you need for a comfortable night. The employees are also friendly and helpful.

Great budget hotel slightly hidden off the beaten track and hubbub of Oxford Road. Brilliant facilities with no spills or foibles but very clean and service is great. Staff are very helpful and the rooms are comfortable and the prices are very competitive.

I love this hotel. Its right in the centre of Manchester, but easy to get to by car. There is a multi-storey car park right opposite(granted you have to pay) which is very handy. The room is decorated to typical Ibis standards, which includes a comfortable and roomy double bed, settee and modern furniture. There is a reasonably sized flat screen tv which has a feature where you can plug your MP3 in and listen to music via the tv. The shower in the Ibis Manchester is fantastic — really powerful and loads of room. Its a stand-alone shower too, so you don’t have to climb out of the bath either. I ate at the restaurant for lunch, and they do nice and relatively cheap meals. I didn’t try the breakfast, but it looked nice and is quite cheap for an all-you-can-eat style buffet. The only downside to this hotel is that the windows don’t open more than an inch, so be warned if you stay in the summer it’s probably going to get pretty hot.

I didn’t have any of the food but in terms of a cheap and practical room that was in the center of Manchester the Ibis is hard to beat. The showers are fantastic and the location is very useful and highly accessible in terms of getting to the station and all the other parts of Manchester. I definitely plan on staying there again.

I have lived next to the Ibis Hotel on Charles Street for nearly a year, and have only ever entered it once. My parents booked into it for a long weekend before Christmas, and had a room on the 3rd floor, so I went in to have a nosey about. The rooms are very well appointed for the price, and are like a very upmarket Travelodge. The provisions are basic, but all the necessary items are provided for. You get your free beverage tray etc. The bathrooms are like pods in the bedrooms, although are much larger than student bathrooms, just pod-shaped. The rooms were impeccably clean, and my parents were more than happy to use the hotel as a resting place. The hotel also has a small café/bar in the ground floor foyer, which, when the hotel is busy, is a fairly perky place to stop for a drink. Breakfast is served here(continental breakfast at an extra charge) as are hot beverages and snacks throughout the day. No one eats here in the evening considering the hotel is built on top of East Z East, but that is no hardship. The hotel’s rooms have views over the city rooftops once you get to about the 3rd floor, so the rooms are light and don’t feel hugely claustrophobic. If you are looking for a good budget hotel to stay in in Manchester, then look no further!

A fantastic budget hotel in the centre of Manchester. You get what you pay for — around £40-£50 a night per room gives you a very small and no frills but pleasant, clean and secure place to sleep. The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, en-suite bathrooms(in a strange pod-like thing in the corner of the room) and TVs. You really can’t go wrong with an Ibis hotel. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and cheap. This hotel is great if you are just staying a couple of nights in Manchester. I use it on shopping trips or when watching bands.
