It is what it is — it’s a fried chicken place. That being said, it’s probably the best chicken burger on the Curry Mile.

There isn’t a KFC in Fallowfield, because they probably know it would fail. It would fail because its not as good as some of the independent fried chicken shops that are already there. Sadly, this isn’t one of them. If only Kansas stood between the original Kentucky FriedTM and the Fallowfield/Rusholme market, they would steam roller in tomorrow. Chips are a little soggy, chicken has been under the lamp too long, and was probably never good to start with. Not even cheap. Thank god Chicken King, Krispy Chicken and Southern Fried Chicken stand between Fallowfield and Rusholme and the yielding to multinational, under-paying, competition destroying chain stores. What an ethical bunch these students are.

Kansas fried chicken? That’s different. Is it something new and spectacular? Is the state of Texas invading the curry mile? Nope. Just another bog standard fried chicken place.

Yeah, what he said. It’s yet another example of a derivative chicken joint attempting to emulate KFC by choosing a different Southern state that winds up giving it the same initials. Granted, it’s a decent attempt, but that’s not enough to make up for tasteless chicken and damp chips. Plus, the prices are slightly higher than elsewhere, and for absolutely no discernible reason. I understand you have to distance yourself from the competition, but randomly raising prices is one of the least sensible approaches, second only to infusing all your chicken with razor blades.
