This is a truly wonderful shop, filled with the highest quality beauty products for the discerning customer. I love L’Occitane, especially the lavender foot cream and the shea butter bubble bath. This shop in Leeds city centre is new and is a great fit filled with the amazing products of L’occitane. I particularly love to see the bike parked outside the shop filled with lavender and chamomile. Check out the new shop in Leeds on Briggate, part of the Victoria Quarter opposite Louis Vuitton.

Use their lavender hand cream(in a tube) all the time and make sure everyone knows where to give me for b-days and Christmas! Best hand cream I have ever used — keeps my hands soft all day without making them greasy so I keep a tube at work and one in the car. It is little bit more expensive than high street stuff — but so worth it!

I’ve been thinking about these kind of shops lately. The Body Shop, Lush, that kind of thing. I think they’re a complete nonsense, that much is obvious to me, but this one I like even less, because of the shocking prices! Normal soap and shower gel is absolutely fine. If you want to pamper yourself, I recently discovered something called conditioner which makes your hair soft. Even this is a bit extravagant and unnecessary unless you have dandruff, but the products in this shop take unnecessary luxuries to another level. £20 for ‘Ultra Matte Face Fluid ‘? Questions: what is it and is its existence necessary? Answers: I don’t care and no. To be fair, they do guarantee that all their products are completely natural, organic and fairly farmed, with no animal testing. This is pretty good because I’m sure a lot of companies producing cleaning products are not so ethical. I do give them credit for this, however, as all the products they make are utterly unnecessary and over the top, why don’t they just make ethically sound soaps that are normal and not charge for fancy names and middle-class packaging. I’d definitely pay more to know my products have not cost lives, but I don’t here because its not what you’re paying for at all, its just another excuse for high prices(in my uneducated opinion)

When L’Occitane came to Manchester I whooped with joy. They have a pretty efficient online shop but nothing beats browsing the shelves, admiring the pretty bottles and sniffing their contents. Part of the joy of L’Occitane is their packaging. The bottles and jars hark back to an era of decadence and glamour. The gift boxes are a joy with their illustrations of the legendary Fragrance Merchant and filled with tissue and gorgeous scents. All of the products are developed and produced in the small Provençal town of Manosque. Some of my favourites include Neroli Eau de Parfum, Shea Butter Ultra Rich Foaming Bath and Honey and Lemon Hand Cream. Hands down one of my favourite stores.

The customer service at this branch of L’Occitane is second to none. I popped in last week to buy some Shea Butter hand cream for my auntie and was served within two minutes. Unlike at the Body Shop where I was actively encouraged /pushed to try other products, the staff didn’t try to show me any of the other creams or moisturisers. They simply asked if I was having a nice Christmas, wrapped my present up in tissue paper with a bow and sprayed it with a divine fragrance. If the service is as smooth and hassle-free in other branches, I might buy the majority of my Christmas presents from L’Occitane next year!

This is a lovely small and chic store or perfumery located centrally in Manchester. The products are sourced in Provence and all from natural ingredients. The lavender range is probably what its most well known for but there is a good selection of other fragrances and lots of good body creams for dry skin and also a mens range, They have a lovely selection of room sprays and you can buy their products at Debenhams and Selfridges also.
