I requested an inspection of my mobile home due to a continuing problem with dimming lights that a visit from Ameren electric hadn’t resolved. I wanted to see if the problem was in my home wiring or outside wiring. The technician came and inspected my breaker box with the cover off and stated that all wires and connections were good. He checked outside and said in-ground wiring would need to be replaced. After he left there as a massive escalation of electric problems in my home, my appliances were shorting out and two electric plugs began to smoke. I had specifically asked the man if my home was in danger of catching fire and he stated«no».I notified the company I wanted to repair the in-ground wiring right away, at that time they told me they weren’t licensed to work in my area. I then contacted a different company who came and replaced the in-ground wiring. When they tried to power everything up, the whole system went down again and also took out power for my neighbors for several hours until Ameren could come out and restart the transformer. Further inspection of the breaker box revealed that the neutral wire had been attached to a connection meant for a «hot» wire. No other person or electrician had ever been inside that breaker box in the 14 + years I’ve lived there, and there is no way that illegal hook-up could have existed for 14+years without causing major electrical problems. I believe the Manchester technician hooked that wire up incorrectly. If I give him the benefit of the doubt(which I don’t) but if I did, at the very least he should have seen the dangerous wire connections when he did his inspection and told me everything was fine. He is either incompetent in his abilities or criminally malicious in messing with the wiring that could have killed/injured me and burned down my house. I have a written statement from the second electric company stating what they found and the problems it caused. I informed Manchester electric of this situation and requested a refund of my payment to them, as there worker did not do his job properly. They have failed to respond or work with me in any way. Extremely poor customer service! Dangerous technicians! Hire this company at your own risk. I intend to file a BBB complaint as well, and have told pretty much everyone I come in contact with to avoid this company.

I called Manchester Electric as I was looking for a local electrician in Manchester. I called for an emergency breakdown and an engineer came very quickly. He was polite, friendly and fixed the problem very quickly. I was most impressed with his tidy workmanship and reasonable rates. I will be using Manchester Electrical again. many thanks. Ted
