A typical Nokia store. Furthermore, I will try to elaborate, but I cannot promise it can go or mean any further than that one line. It has all possible Nokia phones, new and old, and the new ones are crowned dearly on special shelves and given utmost comfort and priority than the old ones, which are probably sulking at ‘change’s’ existence, are resting on the phone holders; Unhappy and grumpy and disheartened. Ok, I shall stop with the emotional rattle of phones. Anyhow, the staff is very attentive and I must specify that they are more than eager to send you off home with a Nokia buzzing in your pocket! The ambience is typical. The phones are typical. I’m an Ericsson girl, Nokia does not excite me.

I’m trying to think of one thing that distinguishes it from every other mobile phone store in Britain. Oh I know– it’s full of customer stalking staff workers who left school last week and think they’re ill fitting suits make them flash… no, wait. How about the décor? Creaky laminate, soft lighting that changes colour, phone filled walls, advertising boards filling the glass shop front… all sounds too familiar. Tech geeks messing up there trousers after being given a counter top demo of the latest big band ringtone on some new fangled agent of no privacy… damn it! I give up. It sells phones, Nokia phones.
