Salvis has recently reopened at the new corn exchange. It is easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there. To get to the restaurant, you go through the entrance next to wahaca, and down the stairs into the basement. I had the pizza which was excellent and the wine was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This was the first time I have been in here, I have seen it so many times but not managed to get in. It was a really nice sunny day so was really nice to sit outside. Me and my partner were waiting to meet my parents for lunch so decided to have some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar while we waited. It was nice the olive oil was OK but i have had better it had a funny after taste. But lots of people were having food and it looked really nice so will be returning to have something proper to eat. I really liked the atmosphere and the style of the place you get a really nice vibe from the place. Defiantly worth a visit.

Having worked for a well known Italian restaurant in the past, I generally give them a wide berth for fear of bringing on a sort of pasta related ptsd, so on a sunny afternoon when my friend suggested Salvi’s for a catch-up I was a little hesitant. Oh how glad I am he did. Absolutely bursting with charm, the wait staff were lovely, the beer was cold, and the food was fresh, tasty, and great value! Had we have had more time I could have spent all day sat out people watching and munching away. The table next to us I noticed purchased an excellent selection of sweets I would have ran past and grabbed on my way out, if it wasn’t for the fact they were gobbled up in seconds. Definitely coming back for more.

I very much enjoyed the sight of distressed overheated Italians joyously realising that this place is about as close to being in the piazza back home as they are going to get in Manchester. Aperol Spritz is the best in town and the food looked and smelled amazing, especially the garlic prawns. Am excited to come back to eat. Only thing is they need to get some outdoor furniture — people sitting on the high chairs from the bar in side that were lowered to a uncomfortable level weren’t as relaxed as they should have been in what otherwise is a delightful slice of la dolce vita overlooking one of the smartest, if not exactly picturesque, areas of the city centre.

Ok, so I went here for lunch and wanted to return on my way home for takeaway to bring back for my other half! The setting of the place was so relaxed and chilled! T

Wow, just wow! I’m now going to make it my life mission to get everyone I know to Salvi’s for a bite to eat! Ok so I’ve just spent £15 on lunch(which wasn’t really the plan when I went in and was going to go for their 2 courses for £10 lunch deal) but I’ve absolutely no problems in paying that for food of such quality. Salvi’s is on the«good side» of the Corn Exchange — i. e it gets passing traffic and isn’t shut; and this shows by the fact that it was packed(although they probably only have around 25 covers). There were Italians in there having lunch which is obviously a good sign and they were recommending all sorts to me. As much as the menu had loads of great options on it and the daily specials were fantastic — the waiter actually suggested something off menu which was their fresh ravioli with sausage, wild boar and truffle dressing. This was an absolute joy to eat and it was quite possibly the best Italian food I’ve had this side of the UK if not the Tiber! Salvi’s is a deli, mozarella snack bar, coffee house, restaurant and God knows what else. It’s chilled yet exciting to be in, the owner and staff hands on and welcoming and the setting makes you feel like you’ve gone on holiday in itself. They serve ‘full Italian breakfasts’ and it’s open until 11pm every night so I’m sure I could go and try all sorts at different parts of the day. If I don’t sound like I’ve sold it to you enough, I would give it 6 stars if I could so make sure you check it out!
