I went to Starbucks today in Deansgate, while in the area hoping to check out this branch, it previously has stood out to be, and looked like a nice branch, which I have wanted to visit for a while. This store is in the new scheme where you can order on your phone and pay on your phone, ready for collection in store, which is quite cool, and they are advertising it in store, their store name is «Deangsate» This store has a nice, relaxing feel to it, which isn’t really expected and found in a busy central location, especially one in a place like Deansgate, it is fairly close to most Deansgate’s attractions including House Of Fraser, and the train and metrolink stations. The store is quite spacious, and relaxing, they isn’t a lot of seats, which means it can be difficult to sit in and have your coffee, but it didn’t seem to get too busy to warrant any more seating, although I did originally struggle to find a table. The staff here seemed quick, and polite. I actually ordered at the till, to top up my Starbucks card, sometimes I have a problem with ordering my drinks and then putting that total on the Starbucks card, but the barista who served me seemed to know what he was doing, and put the £6 total on and knocked it off in 2 transactions, so I could get 2 stars, to help me on my way to achieving gold level for yet another year and reaching my target in the Star Dash. At the moment, if you get 9 stars you get 12 bonus stars, and if you get 14 stars, you get 20 bonus stars, which is a good promotion to help reward regular Starbucks customers. The store is small and next to Centurion House on Deansgate, but still they are 2 toilets, one disabled and one standard toilet, they seemed clean enough, however they was a squeeze to get into, due to their position and the layout of the store. The store is quite nice in general, with some nice paintings and some glass windows, and the automatic glass doors at front. My coffee quality was good and definitely one of the better ones I had, I have had, I ordered a Burnt Camel latte, and it was served quite well too, as you can see from the picture I have attached, with origin espresso. They had a good selection of the Pick of The Week apps, with 2 apps to use from, with this week’s and last weeks, which both still worked, which was nice as most stores don’t seem to have a selection. The food selection was quite poor, with no gluten free items directly on show, and they also was a smaller range of merchandise than I expected, with some of the cups sold in low number, while considering this and the lack of seating, meaning it can be hard to get a seat, I feel this store is only at the level of a strong 3 stars, and is just inches away from a 4 star rating, which I hopefully will be able to upgrade this store to on a future visit in the near future. I also feel this rating is appropriate as the toilets can be hard to get to with both prams, wheelchairs or mobility equipment and they were simply average /satisfactory and could have been nicer in general, and more cleaner. UPDATE: After some consideration, I feel I may been slightly unfair on this store, as it is a nice store in general, the staff are nice and quick, and the coffee quality is good, so definitely deserves a higher rating of four.

A lovely little Starbucks right on Deansgate with a little patio out front but mostly for smokers but nice on a sunny day. The coffee shop is looking tired and in need of a renovation, you would think with the millions they make out of us that they would do them up but its nice and cozy with arm chairs here and there. The staff seemed friendly and they had lovely soothing music on for a nice relaxing coffee on a lovely sunny sunday morning.

Great mint teas. Quick service. Good disabled access. Staff friendly. Good coffee. Will even give you and extra tea bag in your cup for free if you ask. Nice part of town.

Oh no no no! I love this Starbucks. It’s really accommodating and lovely. Stop being mean to it, you lot. So like every other Mancunian urbanite I headed to a Bucks when they were offering two for one on festive coffees to celebrate their red cups, and since I couldn’t drink both by myself I decided to get one for my coffee-hating boyfriend. Wait, my story does make sense. I stroll in, I ask about the offer, I say, ‘Which of the festive coffees is the sweetest and the least coffee-like? I don’t ask for me, but for my boyfriend.‘ They said, ‘I’d say the toffee nut latte, and if he’s not a fan of the taste of coffee we can just put half an espresso shot in for him.‘ That’s brilliant! Okay, I know I’m easily pleased but I really like that kind of friendly service. And do you know what? We’ve found a Bucks the boy likes, and he didn’t even have to put any sugar in it, like the five he’d have to pile into a regular latte. That’s just flipping marvellous.

This coffee shop has a great location on Deansgate looking across to the new Avenue shopping area. The location is sadly really all it has to offer, the layout is very poor(unless you are able to sit outside and enjoy the Manchester sunshine on the wobbly tables and chairs) the seating is a mixture of tables and chairs in rows, and a few sofa/comfy chairs at the front which you sink down into and struggle to sit up to drink your coffee. The added problem sitting at the front is every 10 — 20 seconds the automated doors slide open on there own, and give you a blast of cold air. The staff are mixed some are very friendly and helpful others give you the impression you are disturbing there day, coffee is the standard large weak milky variety served in all Starbucks. Does no one do a SMALL coffee anymore, and how big can the medium/standard cups/soup bowels get before we are actually drinking from a bucket? This place could do really do with a refit, and some design ideas for seating that you can enjoy. This place is great for people watching, but if you want a great relaxing coffee better to give it a miss!
