I called in Superdry on a recent trip to Manchester, to return a coat I had ordered online to exchange it for another size, having spoken to Superdry over the phone, telling me I could do this. This store is reasonably large, and follows the standard Superdry layout, and is located inside the old HMV space in the Manchester Arndale, close to Costa Coffee and Sports Direct. The store was quite noisy with the music playing, which I found to be off-putting and not something you want to listen to while shopping, although I do understand they are trying to make it more of a cool, exciting place for their target audience, but it certainly does the opposite for me.(Although the music situation is not as bad at some branches of Nando’s!) The checkout was hard to find, but luckily a member of staff helped point me in the direction, it took a while to process, which I didn’t really like, considering it was just upgrading a size of the same coat. Superdry have paper bags, so it means if you need a bag, you don’t have to pay a 5p charge for them. The range here is good /average, although I can’t fully comment on this as I did only go looking for one particular item, for my exchange. Overall this is a nice store, but due to some flaws mentioned, I can struggle to give it more than 2 stars.(I find the look /layout of Superdry stores to be horrible as well! They are a little dark, and narrow in some areas due to the tables /stands they have!)

Really overpriced stuff. so basically you are paying for the label. I suppose it’s ok if you are into that kind of stuff and have a high disposable income. Staff aren’t really very attentive. They much prefer laughing and joking with themselves

I realy like Superdry and the style of their clothes. It is actually a British fashion label but designs have Japanese inspirated graphics. Superdry was created after a trip to Tokyo. I have a nice Superdry jacket, backpack, tshirt and a hoodie. The only thing bad thing about Superdry is that it is towards the more expensive side and is rarely has a sale. If it does have a sale, then its only a very small selection.

I like Superdry. I have two items of clothes from there, one is a hoodie which I absolutely love, it’s so warm and snuggly and nice! The other is a leather jacket… it’s awesome. Everytime I wear it someone asks me where it’s from. Although like James says, the t-shirts have got a little annoying recently but I don’t wear them so I don’t mind too much.

Just so you’re all aware, I’m hitting the keys really hard right now. This annoying little brand with its back of the shoulder logos has really begun to agitate me lately. Not only is it EVERYWHERE but it is smug about it. Years ago it was OK– standard studenty stuff. But now it’s got all ahead of itself and found it’s way into every 18 – 40 year olds wardrobe whilst also deciding that it is some kind of designer label. It’s blandedised togs wouldn’t be so bad if they were actually cheap but it’s all so ridiculously pricey for what it is. Students look the way they do because they’re skint– there’s no need to be remortgaging to get the look you idiots!
