When you find a good butcher you know your life is changing to the better, it might be a little selfish but it is also nice that there are new business that are not just bars opening in the Northern Quarter, it is a healthy thing to have a balance of things opening. The butcher’s quarter staff are great and very knowledgeable about where their meat comes from which is valuable in these days of supermarkets buying cheap and disappointing people who should know better. You might find that their meat is a little more expensive but you will also find that it is not full of preservatives and water. They will tell you if they feel something has not been hung long enough(I am a fan of skirt stake, a cheaper alternative for people like stake), and will either suggest a good alternative or give you advice on cooking methods of the other alternatives in store. With the added bonus of you also being able to pick up a very descent bottle of Prosecco, this place is highly recommended by everyone who goes here, and now me too :)
