From the outside this pub looks a bit dated and not too appealing, however as soon as you get in then your opinion on it will change. It’s quite rare to find a normal pub now in Manchester City Centre and this one fits the bill. A great range of beers and ales complimented by an extensive range of whiskeys and gins. I was extremely impressed! I used to go in this place a few years ago before I got the dreaded Megabus up to uni just to have a pint and keep warm, back then it was empty and dated inside but now it looks great and is bustling. It also shows live football which is always a bonus!

Great place for an after work drink, though I can’t imagine staying for more than one or 2 drinks. This place is tiny, the inside feels something more akin to a dolls house or a dog kennel than a pub. A small amount of additional seating upstairs. If you end up stood up downstairs with people pushing past you all the time as you drink, this wouldn’t be the best experience. Restrooms in the basement down a dodgy staircase covered in a smelly green carpet. On a positive note, service is pretty fast, but then it needs to be because there isn’t enough space to have people hanging around. It’s ok, but there are better options nearby.

A okay pub, I imagine it is nicer when there is not a sporting event on, but if the sun is high in the sky you can always head out to the roof garden, as we did(garden is a generous term). It seemed a shame that the bar on the first floor was not serving considering how full the pub was. My companions recommend the beer and I feel it has a good chilled out atmosphere, which is what you want from a good old pub.

This is a really great, small pub on the outskirts of the NQ. Opposite Shudehill bus and metrolink station, this watering hole is small and compact but has plenty of seats. Spanning over 2 stories it has extra seating upstairs and a lovely roof terrace that is a fabulous little sun trap in the summer.

This is a nice little pub with a great location across from Shudehill Metrolink stop which makes it an ideal meeting place. It’s been recently done up and has a polished but cosy vibe throughout. As well as the main bar, it’s got a wine bar and a little roof terrace hidden away on top. The beer is good but a little pricey however it does have St Austell’s Tribute, one of my favourites, on which makes it a winner to me. But it’s only getting four stars as we went in once on a Friday afternoon and ended up walking out because it was ridiculously busy with nowhere near enough staff on the bar which is pretty poor.
