My experience of Wok & Flame was generally very positive. We called up for a takeaway and our order was taken smoothly and free delivery was offered to Whalley Range. The delivery was made within a reasonable time. Whilst the menu may not be setting any records for originality, the food was of a good quality and portion sizes exceeded many other similar restaurants in the area. The chicken in black bean sauce with green pepper had plenty of succulent chicken and the sauce had a nice heat. My partners Chinese chicken curry was flavoursome and again, ample in size! Finally, the special fried rice was packed full of meat and deliciously large prawns. All in all we were very happy with Wok & Flame — it’ll now be our takeaway of choice!

Situated along the busy Burton Road in West Didsbury, Wok and Flame is just your typical local chinese takeaway. Food is available for collection and delivery and everything is a good price. The delivery drivers are always cheerful too! I would highly recommend the main meal of chicken satay! Never had any complaints from me. I frequently order things and ask for items to be added or taken away, such as no garlic or extra spicy and they have always accomodated my requests. The menu is definitely not small so there’s something for everyone. Also avaible on justeat so easy to pre — order if you wish.

After a 10 hour shift at work I was really looking forward to my takeaway, i ordered a pad thai and prawn toast. Unfortunately the prawn toast was burnt & soggy and pad thai was inedible, really poor quality and tasteless. Full of carrot and beansprouts, udon noodles, no crushed peanuts and noodles should be rice noodles. I rung to explain my disappointment but the staff were not interested and quite rude, no management available on a Saturday night. I am hoping for my money back

The food here is typical Chinese takeaway fare but it’s great value and generous portions. They also have a dish on the menu that features pork AND prawn AND fried chicken AND chilli, so they clearly have the right attitude. When I poured the sweet chilli sauce on my prawn cracker there was a massive crackling sound. Is this some kind of chemical reaction? That was actually slightly disturbing.

I haven’t even begun to work my way through the menu yet. However that will soon be a moot point. West Didsbury has been an old haunt of mine for a while, but has been replaced like an Apple product recently with the NQ. That may well change thanks to Wok & Flame. I’d heard about this place from a Unilocal review from another Unilocaleep not long ago and marked it on my google map. I’m glad I did because one friday few weeks ago I happened to be driving past and had the chance to test drive a few things on the menu. I was NOT disappointed. Despite«take away» being a kryptonitic word for foodies. The quality of grub at this place puts it a few echelons above that particular label. My chicken Pad Thai was delightful. I will be returning here and am already looking forward to writing a more in depth review.

I LOOOOOOVE Wok n Flame. This take away Chinese is located on Burton Road, West Didsbury. As sad as it sounds, I have not been 2 weeks without getting my Chinese fix! What makes matters worse is that the lovely owner not only knows my name but all I have to do is pop my head in the door and he knows my order, now that is service. The service is 5* and could not ask for more This friendly take out does amazing Chinese food and if its not on the menu, then no problem they will make it! I fully recommend their salt and pepper chicken, the best salt and pepper chicken I have ever tasted. Their prices are very reasonable. For 2 starters, 2 mains, rice and chips is £15. The food is fresh and made in the open kitchen so you can see the chef’s cooking your food.
