Wow is all I could say as I got out of the car… this place is amazing if you like historic, beautifully landscaped, old school charm castles. It is situated on 65 acres of land… amazing. There are paths to walk through the gardens alongside bunnies and deer, and the Thames River. The trees and scenery is simply breathtaking. Lots of benches to sit and take int he beauty. The restaurant on site is quite good. The breakfast buffet is just ok. Drinks are ok, kind of pricey. The smoked sea salt almonds and olives they provide at the bar free of charge go quite well with the wines… in fact I may have eaten all their supply! The rooms are nice. I was in a cetner top floor room facing the beautiful landscaped backyard… the bathrooms are updated, bedrooms are old school british charm with cute crank windows for fresh air. The staff is nice. There is a library with a pool table. A sitting room to read and relax, a pool, spa, etc. Awesome for weddings and special occasions or business.
