A strange find indeed. In what can only be described as a craft themed haberdashery locate din a warehouse, you’ll come across this place by accident at the back of the shops, pretty badly sign-posted and decorated like your grans place would be if she tried to make an effort to ‘modernise’. That being said, the cakes were plentiful and looked great, the service was swift and with a smile, and although the food on offer at lunch was pretty basic and what you would expect from a standard pub, it was damn tasty and cooked to perfection. Plenty of high chairs available for the many little people that brought their parents along and I have to say that the atmosphere was quite homely, very much what we needed at the time and lovely pick-me-up after getting soaked in the rain. This place is unlikely to blow you away, you will probably have to share it with grandmothers and babies, but you will eat well, you will be comfortable, and you will not be over-charged. Oh, lunch orders stop at 2.30pm, make sure you don’t miss out, they are pretty prompt when stopping service.
