This is an estate agency which seems to specialise in the more upmarket type of property, mostly in rural locations in the north east, sort of Stokesley and Middlesbrough areas. We asked them to come round and value out house when we decided to sell a couple of years ago. At the time we were in a bungalow in a rural location, and they had sold a number of properties in the area, so seemed like a good choice. However, things did not turn out this way. The man who came round to value our house showed no enthusiasm whatsoever, and actually tried to under-value it by comparing our three bedroom property with a two bedroom property in the same street. I thought estate agents were supposed to talk a property up, not down?! Anyway, he seemed very down in his manner, and this transferred to me. He basically left me feeling my property was worthless, and he didn’t seem at all bothered about taking our business. Needless to say we went with another agent!
