Upon entering Emily’s Tea Room, a smile lit my face as I stepped into the most quaint and charming tea room. Actually, it’s the first tea room I’ve ever been in, but I completely fell in love with the cozy and intimate feeling as I sat down. I couldn’t keep the smile off my face as I peered around… the hearth was warm and inviting, the furniture richly colored and comfortable. I ordered the Victorian Tea. Finger sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and jam, and homemade chocolate cake dressed with lovely cream, laced with Grand Marnier. I chose a chocolate scone and strawberry jam… and the finger sandwiches included salmon, egg, cheese, gammon and cucumber. I chose the spiced pear tea to accompany my sampling. I was tickled pink when the tea arrived and pleasantly surprised at the flavor. I could have easily sipped another two or three pots! I’m sure my companions thought I resembled a child in a toy store. Lovely, dainty tea pots and servery completed the experience and for the time I was there, I was in another place and another time. I’m already planning the next trip to Emily’s Tea Room.

This place is fabulous! The food is delicious and the desserts are to die for and the presentation is a cut above the rest. The list of teas to choose from is outstanding. It’s very small and quaint and the china is delicate and beautiful. The owner Jaquie is the sweetest woman you will ever meet. I just cannot get enough of this place.
