I have been frequenting the Kam Tong off and on for around 10 years now as it is about 5 minutes walk from my Father’s place. We have had many a delicious meals here and the Sunday buffet is great value with a buzzing atmosphere. The prices are a bit higher than other Chinese restaurants in this area but they do offer 20% off for takeaways. The restaurant is set over two levels and the large windows overlook the lake. The décor is lovely and it is a nice place to eat out. However, sometimes the food can be a little salty, sometimes bland and I think there may be some MSG added to it. But the Crispy Duck is heavenly — the skin perfectly crispy and meat is succulent. Overall a 3 star restaurant — not amazing and not terrible. I am sure I will continue to visit here on occassion.

This restaurant offers pretty good value and the buffet is an eat-as-much-as-you-like affair. The food is generally good in my view, I have eaten there at least 6 times. The décor is nice and you can generally get a table without a reservation or a long wait.

It’s ok food– in the last year it’s become much more salty. The prices are much higher than some other Chinese places in MK.

An excellent two-storey Chinese restaurant with a large car park. The normal menu is excellent food and resonable value. Individual starters are around £4−6 each, a mixed starter is £13 per head, crispy duck starts at around £10 and then mains are generally around £9. If you like someone else to pick which dishes go with which then gourmet dinners or banquets cost around £20 per head upwards for a minimum of 2 people. If you are seeking the best value then a buffet is available some of the time. The food is obviously not as good because it has been standing around, but it is very acceptable and great value at around £15 on Friday and Saturday evenings and less for the buffet Sunday lunch and dinner. The wine list isn’t cheap, ranging from around £10−24, but the wines I have tried have all been good. All together great food, good service, great value and highly recommended.

Delicious food! As it’s buffet you come away very full! Very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Bit tricky to find if your not from MK but worth it.

This is the best chinese in Milton Keynes. They offer a buffet, which is so nice and tasty that you wont want to stop eating. It is all very good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone. Very authentic and all in all tasty! They offer a wide variety of dishes and they staff are really nice and lovely people. There is plenty of parking outside the back and it is just off of the canal so there are really nice views in the summer. Everyone I’ve talked to loves going here so it is really worth a visit.

We’ve been to the Kam Tong Garden a couple of times, both eating from a la carte and the buffet and both times were absolutely fantastic. The staff are on the whole really friendly and the food is delicious. We had the buffet on a Saturday night. Sometimes you go to an all-you-can-eat buffet and it’s obvious the food is what can’t be got rid of. That’s certainly not the case here. The buffet food seems to be the same as what you get from the menu, absolutely tasty with a huge range of dishes for all tastes, from chilli ribs to chinese curry, egg and special fried rice, singapore noodles, sesame prawn toast. the list is endless. Plus the buffet includes desserts! So picture eat-as-much-as-you-like profiteroles, ice cream, slices of cheesecake! Make sure you’re hungry before you go, it’s well worth saving your stomach for it. Plus check the website first too. I’ve only just looked now and realised there’s a 10% off voucher on there! Doh!

This is perhaps one of the nicest Chinese restaurants in Milton Keynes. They do an a la carte menu, and on certain days they have a buffet as well where basically you pay a fixed amount and then it’s all you can eat of your choice from the buffet. The food is really good quality, and although this place isn’t what I’d call cheap, it’s certainly not as expensive as some places I’ve been where the prices are higher and the food not as good. The setting is really nice, and they don’t crowd you when you’re eating, but the service is good and attentive so that someone is always around if you need them. They also do a take away service, but I have to say I’ve not tried it, although I’ve heard it’s just as good.

This place does the most amazing chicken satay! I’ve only ever had takeaway from here although it is really a restaurant and a pretty amazing looking one at that. It sits on the banks of a little lake with some tables having a great view over the ducks. It’s good Chinese food with an extensive menu. It’s famed locally for it’s all you caneat buffet on Friday evenings and Sundays.
